According to latest TA analyst report (Mar 31, 2021) with TP of RM3.34,..

btw, just a reminder that the court case between Tenaga and IRB on the tax issue has been vacated (postpone) to September. it might affect the dividend pay out amount.

Airport jump on news of MAHB proposal to govt on revitalising Subang airport. missed my chance to add a bit for this stock.

For Tenaga, the pressure started to push upwards for the past 1-2 weeks. the price could not break through due to sellers need to take profit at first chance due to funds stuck at the below 10.00 price point for some time. the reason why it is very difficult to go up is bcos of absence of foreign investment in Tenaga, without which the strong push the price cannot go up as retail investors have limited funds and profit taking also occurs.

Everyone knows that Tenaga is undervalued and good for dividend (otherwise you and me wont be here in the first place right?). But last Friday beside the QWD could also be the start of foreign funds starting to buy this stock back - see article above.

This is possibly due also in part to Tenaga seriousness in addressing the ESG issues of late, e.g. investments in renewable energy in Vietnam and Singapore and also the commitment to cut down on coal usage and limit to 30% in the medium term. EPF sold bcos of i-Sinar draw down of course which will end in June 30. We should see some uplift in the coming weeks for sure. Remember that EPF holds Tenaga for our EPF annual dividends, and they aint gonna change their position anytime soon unless Tenaga changes and reduce their dividend pay out policy.

@i3gambler - no right or wrong. we are all here to share our views. The profit taking was expected. unfortunately time was not at your side. but I guess you already knew that it was a gamble at 11 days. I doubt anyone here will want to wish you ill or try to manipulate you in any way. if its any consolation to you, I didn't have the chance to consolidate my portfolio and am back to paper loss for Tenaga. But like I said earlier, we should be able to see the rise come late July / August when they announce the dividends. keeping figures crossed for higher lows

@milosh fyi, this idea was also floated on the other investors portal and there's a very good chance it might be true as at closing there were 35K lots offered for sale at 10.44 vs 7K offering to buy at lower. apparently there's a formula to calculate the shortfall in call warrant, perhaps someone can enlighten us as to why the magic number RM10.44? I find it highly suspicious that a call warrant about to expire in 11 days would suddenly magically take off just like that

How sure are we that the big players didn't look at call warrant? oh wait.. maybe they did and that's why they didn't buy in to it but hope that someone will hook line and sinker to pick it up.

Heard of the 'every third Friday of every quarter' theory? If the theory is true, just be careful of a very sharp correction come Monday. The huge movement is obviously not done by small retailers. big boyz at play - although I am surprise not reported in the announcement. big boyz with all that financial muscle and financial experience and savy, the risk and possibility of a snafu is very unlikely if any.

I know that price always go up before dividend but this is too early.. could be early accumulation or could be portfolio rebalancing. let's see.. those who sell and make quick buck on Monday. good luck if you miss the boat. Tenaga will almost always certainly go up when dividend comes.

@charliecharlie happen to me on other stocks too. i bid for sale x price. they sapu to 4 tiers up including mine. its normal.

it is not wrong order. normally big players will inform traders to buy up x qty of shares irregardless of price.. so if total qty meets the threshold then lucky you. some say its portfolio rebalancing. but we could only hope for some good news soon? interestingly EPF sold some today

We know GenB and GenM face challenges since last year but yet give put dividends. we also know that come H2, GenM and GenB will start improving with the opening of theme park and spill off to casinos. Very high chance gomen will allow interstate travels for that important electoral vote. we know light is at the end of the tunnel for recovery stocks, while gloves is heading in the dark tunnel for sure.
