October 2013 news to be shared that gave good summary of Scable 2013 activities.

Sarawak Cable Bhd’s (Sarawak Cable) prospects remains bright, supported by several projects in the pipeline that it could win to enhance its earnings.

AmResearch Sdn Bhd (AmResearch) in a report said the potential jobs that Sarawak Cable could secure in the near term include the Tanjung Manis-Bintulu and Manbong-Kalimantan electric transmission lines worth a total of RM400 million.

The research firm said Sarawak Cable has won a significant amount of the 500 kilovolt (kV) job, with packages worth a total of RM1.2 billion.

It added together with the 132kV Tudan-Miri airport job Sarawak Cable secured in June, Sarawak Cable has won a total of RM650 million new transmission jobs this year.

This was on the back of its wholly-owned subsidiary, Trenergy Infrastructure Sdn Bhd receiving a letter of award for two packages of the 500kV transmission line project in Sarawak worth a total of RM619 million in a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Tuesday.

Sarawak Cable added that the award of the latest job followed the letter of intent that was given out earlier on August 30, 2013 for the two packages.

The company noted that the packages consisted of transmission works for the Mapai-Lachau and Lachau-Tondong lines worth RM353 million and RM266 million respectively.

In addition, Sarawak Cable said the work for both projects is expected to start on November 15, 2013 with a completion period of 23 months and 26 months for the Mapai-Lachau and Lachau-Tondong lines respectively.

The power cable company expects both projects to contribute significantly to its earnings in financial year 2014 and financial 2015.

On the other hand, AmResearch observed that Sarawak Cable’s share price is trading at an attractive forward price-to-earnings ratio of six times to 11 times for financial year 2014 and financial year 2015 which is below industry average.

Therefore, the research firm is upbeat about the future earnings of the company and valued the share price of the company with a fair value of RM2.33 per share.

Hope 2014 soon will be prosperous year to Scable investors with revenues from above project starts to flow into the coffin.

Just bought back Barakah. Growth stock with huge potential and handsome margin of profit for business it involves. With abundant opportunity overseas especially in the Middle East like Saudi, we will see the counter to sail to its TP of 2.00 by next year. Early next year?? Not impossible.

Before 2013, TRC had its earning in downward trending. This 2013 year is a different story. The trend reversed in 3 quarters so far and it is supported by a strong order book and will benefit from the LRT property development in Ara Damansara.

TRC is ripe for an earnings rebound !!!

The earlier concerns on delays in the LRT extension job in 3Q may have been overdone. The issue has been fully resolved and works are on full swing again. No problem for TRC only winning 1 job worth RM170m in 2013 as todate it's order book is sizeable of RM1.5 billion and 2014 will be exciting time for construction business especially in Sarawak too.

So mahu tunggu atau mahu jump in now when the price still cheap at 0.54?

Looking at all broking houses covering TRC, it is conviction that the company will shine again very very soon. Grab it when it is dirt cheap now at 0.54. Highest TP 0.75 ! Go TRC!

With such projects executed, their experience handling projects are there except recent spats of incidents but it is not significant. There could be delay in project delivery but sometimes it is the Principal that pushing them. But their potential next year would be in Sarawak!

I extracted this info from RHB analysis recently.

We also like the advantages TRC enjoys as a Bumiputera/Sarawak-state-registered contractor and its highly promising property project in Ara Damansara in Selangor.

So this should clear my query above. Their license laku in Semenanjung and Sarawak and not Sabah.

Can we expect higher dividend payout for FY 2013 based on TRC performance up to 3Q2013???

Its 4Q2013 financial result will be closing pretty soon.

Is it true that they are the only Semenanjung contract with license to participate in goverment tenders in Sabah & Sarawak? Need some experts to verify this. Almost all broking houses latest are calling for BUY for TRC with TP > 0.63 the highest being 0.75. If construction works for water, MRT are coming, surely they are in good position. At the current price of 0.535, it is just juicy to jump in regardless.

Rising too fast without news... Contra players is clearing hence expect downward trend for a shortwhile.

Look at the queue volume at 153, 154 against seller. Seller called. These buyers surely ada good info so don't sell them cheap. Nanti market buka pls continue to climb.
