cheoky, haha... I listen to all three, hng33 as trading pro, Singor as insider tips, and Roger as contrarian warning. I am not like hng33 good at cutting loss & Singor good at collecting info, so Roger's warning helps in making sure I don't hold too much

SHAH ALAM: A review will be carried out on the Selangor government free 20 cubic meter water programme in Selangor.
Menteri Besar Azmin Ali said there was a need to study if the programme fulfils its main objective to benefit lower income with the supply as there were complaints that it was used for gardening and swimming pool. Azmin said there are no plans to stop the programme.
While the Selangor government has no plans to increase the water tariff at the moment, consumers may have to pay more once the restructuring of the state's water industry is completed.
Menteri Besar Azmin Ali said the state government now needs to conclude the final stage with Syarikat Pengeluar Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Splash).
"We do not know what is the quantum needed to be paid to Splash. For now, there is no hike but in the future, we have to see what is the mechanism that wouldn’t burden the people. This is the responsibility of the state government as we cannot simple transfer the cost to consumers," he said at the sidelines of the Selangor state assembly today.

Guess we should see the restructuring completed end of this month?

Selangor mulls fine-tuning free water scheme
SHAH ALAM: The Selangor government may review its free water scheme to ensure that it benefits only those who really need the aid.
Mentri Besar Azmin Ali (pic) said some of the beneficiaries were using the monthly 20 cubic metres of free water to water plants, wash cars and fill their swimming pools.
"How can we subsidise these activities? I don't think it is fair,"’ Azmin told reporters at the sidelines of the state legislative assembly session here Monday.
Azmin said he has invited assemblymen to debate the matter when the budget is tabled in November.
"There are ways and means to ensure the targeted group benefits from the programme, so we have to look at the best mechanism," he said, adding the state spent between RM120mil to RM150mil yearly on the free water scheme.
According to Azmin, the cost had gone up after the migration of bulk meter water supply accounts to individual meter water supply accounts in high-rise properties in the state.
When asked if the review would disgruntle Selangor residents, Azmin said he did not think it would.
"If you give a proper explanation and justification on why we need to review, they will understand," said Azmin.
He said the purpose of implementing the scheme was to help those from the lower income group.
He assured there were no plans to abolish the free water scheme even after the conclusion of the ongoing Selangor water industry restructuring exercise.
To a question if there would be an increase in the water tariff rate once Selangor fully takes over its water industry from the current private concessionaires, Azmin said there were no plans to do so at the moment.
However, he did not dismiss the possibility of an increase in the future.
"We have to look at the entire process once the whole industry has been restructured,"’ said Azmin, adding that currently, only three concessionaire companies - Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (Syabas), Puncak Niaga Sdn Bhd (PNSB) and Konsortium Abbas Sdn Bhd (Abbas) - were involved.
He said the final stage has to be concluded as well with the fourth concessionaire company Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Splash).
"We don't know what is the quantum that needs to be paid to Splash,"’ said Azmin.
He reassured that the state government will not make any decisions that would burden the people.
"We cannot simply transfer the cost to the consumers and so we will look at a suitable mechanism to reduce the burden," he said.

roger, no joke? Won't have money to top up by then already, may have to sell my US shares, sigh! Politicians screw up our nation, and I have to take part paying the price

sudahkena, agree. but I think not many people really knows what lies ahead of the restructuring issue. Better be, otherwise, should have dropped more than just a few cents

wonder when will they announce the completion of water restructuring? Luckily I sold warrant @ 1.59 this morning to buy some Puncak @ 2.44 just now. hmm... actually, not lucky at all, cause more warrants sold then Puncak bought, averaging up my cost to breakeven. Fainted!

how nice would it be if by the market closing today that Selangor water restructuring completion is announced. Sigh! Another day of dream...

Roger, if hng33 had traded thousand, he made a few ringgit, if hng33 had traded hundred thousand, he made a few thousands. So? The point is he has made his entry and exit known to us and he dares to outsmart the market, which most of us don't. If we can't do what he did, just applaud his courage and profits. A bit jealous is OK lah but don't have to be so 仇富。

upsidedown, there is no need for capital control. Just have 1MDB sent back the money, hahaha... Anyway, joke aside, EPF, LTH and other government linked companies can always sell their overseas property investments and repatriate them back. These investments are in part due to too much hot money flooding our nation few years back during USA QE era

alas, any scenario is possible. we are no big bosses, only big bosses know how they want the Puncak price trend looks like. Hng33 has already made money in Puncak, and he is working on making more, so doesn't really matter if its ladder up or shoot up trend. Its people like me who has waited long time without selling that can't sell fearing inability to catch the flight in a shoot up scenario.

Singor, hopefully, Puncak sells everything and return cash to us all, guess will be at least 4.20 per share. Equity market is bad, guess would be hard to even break 3.50 with Selangor water asset disposal. Hahaha... again, wishful thinking!
2015-08-13 10:19 | Report Abuse
hng33, if I were not wrong (can Singor confirm?), the loss of hebei disposal has been written off before, which is why its mentioned in the announcement that there will be no impact.
Singor, wah, you really have good source man! A bit upset though, I thought you are referring to the disposal of Shandong water assets. Think that will be a huge upside potential on price, a water business exit game play -> liquidating Puncak -> more than 3.70 cash per share. Hahaha... wishful thinking here. Still, your information is much appreciated.

money888, such a small deal without even offering profit into the deal (its most likely a loss that has been book earlier,) how could that have any impact on Puncak share price? Hope Dow Jones recovers closer to the end of the day, otherwise, most likely another bad day for us all. Sigh! Market seems to be in favor of short term traders of late...

manage to sell some Puncak warrant at 1.64 and buy Puncak at 2.50. RM 0.14 differences if including the conversion cost, too tempting not to switch. Still, sigh!

hng33, with so many cheap shares in the market right now, it would be hard to assume Puncak will reach its previous peak. I am a bit hopeful for a 3.30 - 3.40 though, assuming a deal to be completed soon, say within the next 18 days? Hopefully, it will right on time for me to buy some shares, just not sure what to buy yet
2015-08-12 10:34 | Report Abuse
hng33, you have a point. Guess even with the restructuring completion, Puncak price will have a hard time climbing to its early peak
2015-08-11 16:22 | Report Abuse
hng33, nothing much can be done now unless others shares fall another 10% below Puncak's fall. I will re-allocate some then. Currently, its still not attractive enough to shift. My bigger issue is not concentration, rather, its too much leveraging while I have no intention to sell my foreign holding to reduce my leveraging in Malaysia.

went to a seminar last week, learn a term 'lower low, lower high' that signals price trending lower and should be aware of catching a falling knife. Looking at Puncak since May, I see a 'higher low, higher high', does that mean Puncak is going to rise much higher sooner?

hng33, one of the reason that I am having trouble selling is the fear of remorse when deal is completed within days after I have sold my Puncak. Not so much about selling at loss cause I have some purchased between 2.60 - 2.80 that could be sold without much losses.

cheoky agree. I have similar concern. I think Puncak price is falling much less compared to others due to possibility of a deal to be completed soon. If deal can be completed in the next few days and Puncak trades above 3.30, I should be on a buying spree after selling my Puncak.
