hng33, for a more than 7 months' effort, that's how much Azmin has achieved? They have nothing to do with the benefits of RAKYAT as politicians been used to claim to serve!
Singor, should Azmin be able to seal a deal within the next 2 days, Puncak may have a bright future ahead, but a bit doubtful given how much Azmin/Ongkili have been willing to share in public.

Frankly, never expect Azmin's delay by this much, thought he has some sense of doing the right thing! The more I read into Greece's stories and have them compared to Azmin's water crisis dealing, the more I find similarities. By taking over the state government, Azmin had assumed all are under his feet that he can do anything in the name of 'protecting' the RAKYAT (or just a mere ability to showoff what he can?). He had forgotten that previously signed contracts/promises can't be ignored as he wishes. He should READ more into Greece debt crisis to give him a sense of urgency! The recent Tsipras moves only let me to believe Tsipras is selfish, stupid, arrogant and failed to do the right thing (no balls). Hopefully, we won't have to see Azmin delaying the water deal till Puncak board to decide on fighting the case in court or federal calls on WASIA to address the problem.

hng33, without knowing the 'clauses' that Azmin would like to see changed, there is no way to know how incline Azmin is into sealing a deal. Then, all goes back to what I earlier mentioned, Azmin's 'soon' could be days, weeks, months, or years. To Azmin, so long he had shown that he 'tried', its assumed all would be alright then. Well, slightly better than earlier attempt, no 'show' at all.

hng33, Azmin's 'soon' could be weeks, months, or years... Was reading Greece stories just now, the more I read, the more I feel Azmin = Tsipras. Sigh!

had water deal completed last week, we would have seen Puncak keep on rising, drawing funds from other stocks. Curse Azmin!

Selangor water crisis is nothing but a greedy UMNO contract crashes with a populist PKR agenda. While both, independently, are infeasible in nature in the long term, the clash itself worsening the situation. This thick face Azmin attempt to criticize Khalid's 6 years failure to complete the water deal over his own incompetence really piss me off to 100%.

worse yet, damn Azmin kept saying deal to be completed soon. The most recently suggested 'before Ramadan' would be one. This f**king Azmin reminded me of Tsipras, causing Greece GDP to keep on falling while only keen on blaming others for his chaotic creation!

frankly, I have kept most of my fund in Puncak in hope water deal will be completed soon. I would not have invested more than 40% in stock there after knowing that falling commodity prices will affect Malaysia economy beginning July/August of 2014 (which is also why I had cleared my position in other stocks then). Sigh, damn Azmin had cost me dearly. Wonder if I should vote for independent or not voting at all in coming election to show my anger towards PR!

F**king Azmin, had it not him, we could have sealed the water deal sooner and avoided the ludicrously low stock price of late!

azmin is real shit, can't keep his end of promises yet criticizing Khalid not able to address water issue in 6 years! Had he apologized for delay due to technical issues (or whatever), I won't be so angry...

hng33, what's puzzling is most analysts would only acknowledge a cash of around 2.90 post water deal and keep ignoring its current cash in hand.

cheoky, Azmin is clearly too busy with PR issues to address the water crisis!

FOR REAL NOW?!?
Selangor water restructuring deal set to be finalised
SHAH ALAM: The Selangor water restructuring exercise with the Federal Government is set to be finalised, said Mentri Besar Azmin Ali.
When met at the state secretariat on Thursday, Azmin said he was rushing to meet Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili.
"I am meeting the minister now to finalise a few provisions in the agreement," said Azmin, adding that it would be signed soon.
The deal had come to a standstill though the master agreement had been signed last year during the tenure of former mentri besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim.
This was due to several disagreements including the ownership of two water treatment plants.
On Wednesday, Selangor government-linked company Kumpulan Perangsang Sdn Bhd, which owned one of the four water concessionaire companies Konsortium Abbas Sdn Bhd, had urged Azmin to seal the deal as soon as possible.
According to its chairman Datuk Raja Idris Raja Kamarudin, the water concessionaire had accumulated a RM1bil debt.
He said the restructuring exercise would allow the parent company Perangsang to streamline and settle the amount.

whether the deal is to be completed soon or not, how many would actually know its TRUE progress, aside from Azmin and Ongkili? To those knowing, whether its no deal or if the deal is 100% confirmed, do you really think they will try to unload/load by causing a sharp down/up in the price?
We small fishes can only guestimate the actually value of the company (to me, Puncak NA should be 4.70, 1.00 asset + 3.70 cash before special dividend, and be valued between 3.70 - 4.20) and invest in hope our insight is correct. Other than that, good luck, only God/Allah/天帝 can know.

Also, there, highly likely, will be some PAS assemblymen that will join PASMA to challenge Hadi Awang lah... I am more worried about Greek crisis spilling over more than other things right now

if i were not wrong, based on what rozali had earlier mentioned, its not empty dam that's the biggest problem, rather, its the treatment plants' capacity that's the biggest problem right now.

http://www.beritadaily.com/news/2015-06-19/15344/why-are-dap-and-pkr-scared-of-snap-polls-in-sgor
KUALA LUMPUR: DAP and PKR’s hesitance to call for snap elections in Selangor is due to a realisation of the high possibility that Barisan Nasional will recapture the prized Selangor state, said Selangor MCA.
Selangor MCA secretary Ng Chok Sin said this was because the people of Selangor were tired of politicking and power struggles by DAP, PKR and PAS without concrete results on a litany of woes, from reaching a water restructuring exercise with Putrajaya, persistent floods, highest incidents of dengue cases, barring traditional Chinese medical halls from selling alcohol to rejecting fresh applications to retail liquor.
"Now that DAP has declared that Pakatan Rakyat ceases to exist with PKR declaring that Pakatan will no longer function formally as a coalition, why then are DAP and PKR so hesitant to call for a dissolution of the Selangor state legislative Assembly?
"PKR secretary-general Rafizi Ramli now finally realises that calling a snap election would be a waste of public funds. Fearing snap state polls now, how come such fears were completely absent when PKR orchestrated the 'Kajang Move' by forcing the incumbent state sssemblyman Lim Chin Cheh to relinquish his Kajang constituency to enable Anwar Ibrahim to contest so that he can be the Menteri Besar?
"When such plans did not see daylight, and Dr Wan Azizah became the immediate stand-in candidate who won, both PKR and DAP conveniently made themselves blind to the RM1.6 million expenditure to hold the Kajang by-election in March last year," Ng said.
He also criticised Selangor DAP chief Tony Pua who said that 'the dissolution of the state assembly is something we will try hard to avoid. The last thing in our mind is to dissolve the assembly.'
"He certainly has convenient amnesia in that PAS, PKR and DAP were screaming 'Bubar DUN' in March 2009 when the Perak-led Pakatan Rakyat government fell to Barisan Nasional’s administration.
"The first thing which PAS' Nizar Jamaluddin did after being sworn in as the newly-elected MP for Bukit Gantang on 15 June 2009 was to raise a clenched fist, tie a headband with the words 'Bubar DUN' besides screaming likewise which saw him summarily booted out from the Dewan Rakyat.
"Other Pakatan MPs then also wore identical headbands which indicated that it was a planned arrangement," he added.

http://www.themalaymailonline.com/malaysia/article/azmin-hopeful-selangor-water-restructuring-deal-settled-within-a-week
SHAH ALAM, June 18 — Selangor Mentri Besar Azmin Ali today said he is hopeful that the state and federal governments can come to a final agreement on Selangor’s long-delayed water industry restructuring plan over the next week.
He said he has been in discussions with Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister Datuk Seri Maximus J. Ongkili, and is optimistic of making headway. “As I have state from the very beginning, the state wants to settle issue of the water industry restructuring... as soon as possible,” he said when met at the state mosque here.
“The only thing is that we want both sides to respect the master agreement. I thank the minister for his proactive attitude in solving several issues.
“Hopefully we can settle this within a week,” Azmin said. Last year, Putrajaya signed a deal with the Selangor state government under then Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim.
Under the water agreement, Selangor is meant to infuse a new special purpose vehicle with RM14.92 billion in assets to manage the water restructuring exercise with Putrajaya.
The federal government is also to provide RM2 billion to help offset the state’s cost of taking over the four concessionaires — Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas), Puncak Niaga Sdn Bhd, Konsortium Abbas Sdn Bhd and Syarikat Pengeluar Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (SPLASH).
In return, Selangor would provide all necessary approvals for the construction of the Langat 2 water treatment plant that it had previously resisted.
Azmin, however declared that the agreement “has collapsed” in March, claiming that the federal government had alleged failed to comply with pre-conditions set out by the state government. Both government’s have since resumed negotiations, with Maximus saying in May that it is up to Selangor to settle the issue of transferring water assets and a complete takeover of the state’s water concessions.

well, I have no confidence in any of them, but believe that a populist agenda crashing with a crony-induced water contract can't sustain for long. A compromise will eventually be needed, and I shall benefit from their selfishness. Just hope they aren't crazy enough to prolong the issue further...
