stockmmany, please value your statement.
What do you mean not sensible business model? Steal from oil giants?
Go read what Shell is diverting from its business model.
Let me ask you, What is anasuria and north Sabah EOR doing?

I am looking into property as well. And most of the coverage will always suggest that you look at those property with strong book balance, enough book order, enough cash to weather the storm. That's the basic when u r investing when the sector is doing bad. so many property now going into negative. So, what you do? if these companies can survive in such tough environment and earn profit, see what they can do when the sector reversed.
All these are cyclical stocks. Property, O&G, Technology.

If you are a oil and gas investor and to invest in a company at a very very challenging and difficult time, yet expect the company to generate revenue and to have 0 debt? Hmmm.... go buy sumatec ya or perisai like Roy
2017-01-16 21:46 | Report Abuse
Stockmanny, this is a SPAC... you get fund from public and u buy companies. Intangible assets of RM1 bil.
It is not a property company where u buy tangible assets such as land

Sorry, mistake:
These companies have net cash instead of net debt and NO DEBT. 5 companies instead of 2 companies which I mentioned earler. My bad.
1. Hibiscus
2. Tanjung offshore
3. KUB Malaysia
4. MMHB
5. Carimin Petroluem
2017-01-16 21:43 | Report Abuse
U go count and see how many companies in net cash and 0 debt versus those company that is raking debt up to 3 digit gearing !!! you never hear 3 digit gearing one.
Gearing = net debt / equity
normally gearing of 80% is bad enough. Imagine 3 digit.
2017-01-16 21:41 | Report Abuse
and for your information, Sumatec is not even mentioned. So u guys know what to do

This is because hibiscus is having net cash, zero debt, no gearing at all and yet, because of low coverage on this stock, the edge use Altman score and rated hibiscus as negative
so the edge kena marah lo, hibiscus issue a statement to bursa.
2017-01-16 21:40 | Report Abuse
Now this is the best part:
Hibiscus announced to Bursa that what the edge reported about hibiscus interest coverage is wrong,
They issue this sentence:
In view of its position as a newly revenue generating and profitable business, hibiscus petroleum anoounced to Bursa that it believes the application of the Altman-Z scoring method to the company is neither appropriate nor meaningful.
The edge on its 17th Oct issue generated a correction and removed hibiscus from the financial health report.

Those current ratio below 1 (means not so liquid)
1. Hibiscus 0.4
2. Perisai & THHEAVY 0.3
3. Icon offshore & perdana 0.5
These companies have net cash instead of net debt
1. Hibiscus
2. Tanjung offshore
3. KUB Malaysia
4. MMHB
5. Carimin Petroluem

but I am surprise sumatec y worth only 0.07. NTA about 0.20. EPS 0.007, PE = 10, so from PE point of view, PE=10 is consider high side for O&G at this point.
lets assume average PE of 6 now, sumatec worth only 0.045.

I am still sticking at 0.475 from the day I bought hibiscus, till now. Did not flinch at all in these 2 days. Standing firm on my Sell strategy (cut loss and take profit) which is base on company events/direction/business plan/financial results and not on sentiment (Cold Eye).
Who is still with me ah? Or the guys already cabut. I know pang72 is still standing firm. But I do have a warning:
“It's not what you don't know that kills you, it's what you know for sure that ain't true.”
Some people (like me) thinks hibiscus is definitely going to 0.60 or 1.00. But what we know for sure that ain't true is going to kill us. Warning.

For the first time, the secretary of state is from O&G company.
This guy is controversial cos of his relationship with Putin. Yes, the top gangster in the east.
US is going to whack China Soon, and trump don't mince his words. he will speak from his head. So...expect fireworks.
So what is the function of secretary of state? Foreign Advisor, who is friendly with a country which 80% of revenue is from Oil, RUSSIA.
So, what you expect? Both of them pushing oil price down?

Now, ppl might question, where can you compare hibiscus with Skpetrol?
Skpetrol is key indicator to our O&G counters in bursa. If skpetrol is trading at 0.78 book value, its a rough indicator. Besides, hibiscus no debt and all other O&G are having difficulty settling their debt (so goes perisai and Roy)
2017-01-16 13:09 | Report Abuse
SKpetrol NTA = 2.12, Price now = 1.67, price to Book = 0.78
Hibiscus NTA = 0.6 (anasuria only), price now = 0.47. price to book = 0.78
Not too pricy right?
Ok. what if hibiscus acquired north sabah?
Hibiscus NTA = 1 (anasuria + Sabah), price to book = 0.78, therefore, price is RM0.78. Thus, my selling price since beginning of this forum - 0.8 to 1.00

And look at hibiscus volume. Only 1.5 hours into trading, already hit 1 mil volume. This is remarkable. See how many players are inside this stock. and within 1.5 hours , so many changed hands and sell down. This is really flushing out players.By the way, is it T+3? technical players love to time T+3

Mr Roy??? PErisai???? You must be kidding me?? hahaha... calvin fares well better than you in stock picking and analysis. Hahahah...perisai. U hentam hibiscus and say perisai is good? Hahahaha....
Incrediblethings, definitely this sell down nothing to do with news/oil/anything. Its just a profit taking/correction after a super strong rally. Its going to come in one way or 2. Like I say, 12 days SMA at 0.45. It traded 0.55 on Friday, very huge rally. no surprise it come down to 0.45 and I am not surprise IF it could drop to 0.40.
2017-01-16 10:18 | Report Abuse
No offense incredible things, I understand your view.
Its also good to cut loss like you did, it shows one part of maturity. imagine if you buy hibiscus at RM2 and not cutting loss till RM0.20
Nonetheless, I am walking the talk. I always emphasize on SELL strategy. It has to be solid. And the sell strategy has to take into account cut loss and take profit. 0.40 is my cut loss :). Remember I say 0.40-0.50?
2017-01-16 10:08 | Report Abuse
incrediblethings just changed his strategy. Haha...
Thanks Calvin, I understand what you saying. From the first day, I already asking for ur email cos I like the way you look at stock. I look at them the same way too, just that our view on hibiscus is different.
Well, I am still sticking my guns. MY buying price is 0.475 and if I sell now at 0.45, its not painful, easy to deal with.
BUT I am going to stick with my SELL strategy. Don't get me wrong cos the SELL strategy also involved cut loss but its not cutting when everyone is selling. Its cutting loss when the company is no longer profitable or growing. If the north Sabah does not go thru, my selling price 0.4-0.5. Simple. I already said that in the beginning. Now 0.45 is still within my selling/cut loss range.
I am not advising anyone to keep on holding but I am just holding to my sell strategy.
Technical wise, 0.45 is understandable. I roughly know it will hit 0.45 on Friday. If I fail to mention, 0.45 is 12 days moving average (I think I wrote this). 0.40 is 25 days moving average. Now, very obvious is sitting nicely on 0.45 (12 days moving average) but 12 days SMA is a very short term trading. Mainly for extremely short term trade. It COULD go down to 0.40, which represents a 25 days. Now, if it cut below 0.40, all hell break loose...it will drop further and drastically.
Trade at own risks guys !

Hahaha... roy..give something solid. 32 cents cos u sold that price right? Dumb ass. Show me calculation that shows its 32 cents. Simple calculation will do. I already did one which shows roughly 0.55 base on anasuria. Give n take probably 0.50 will be fair enough. That's base on anasuria revaluation n NTA of 0.60. Anasuria about rm800 mil. Divide that with hibiscus capitalisation.. it gives urm0.55 to reach about 780mil or so. Exact calculation is in another post. So dumb ass roy.. what is ur calculation for 0.32? You are way Off buddy. Now is 0.49... u missed by almost 50% !!!!

Incredible things...thanks for ur view
Allow me to say that sell strategy must be very firm. A sudden panic selling must not shake our sell strategy unless our sell strategy is to sell during panic selling
Coming in n out using TA will not be profitable in long term. How often u can time the market in out daily. From my experience.. it won't work out. Tronx went out n in again. Sold below 0.50 n buy above 0.50. Not to critic but it's a fact i find out too.
TA can be part of ur sell strategy but if it's not.. then we have to be firm.
It's a learning curve as i also tend to move a lot. Now i try to use this forum to practice what i preach... to set my own sell strategy (cut loss n take profit) n stick to it

The north sabah oil reserve is enough to last 10 years. I calculated the volume it can be extract per day n the total oil reserve. 10 years if they continue to extract the current volume. Anasuria is 20 years if not mistaken. Try driving ur 15 years old proton until it's 25 years old

Kkarim !!! Finally someone talk solid points. I just want to comment about the 15 years old car but lazy to do so. I'm glad u wrote on this. 4 cents in 15 min is abnormal. I almost want to laugh on this comment.
Hibiscus been trading high volume for weeks. 1 min is enough to set off huge volume of panic sellings. It's normal herd mentality. Guess u haven seen limit down or limit up trading

Hahaha...a lot of opinions. A lot of individual opinions. It doesn't matter what u think...the fair value it's there. N the price will always move to its fair value. No one knows exactly at what price but some of us will have a correct guess. N that few selected will be the cash rich when this happen or they will avoid huge losses
So many sifu come out comment d. It's good cos 7% drop is significant n it shake the whole bee nest. Now all the bees coming out. Haha
Well.. one thing is sure. Only the smart one making money. Whoever is positive in hibiscus r the smart ones. Period
