The other disadvantage of devaluation for china, they will not be able to sell US treasury! They have to strengthen yuan before selling US treasury!

If China continue to devalue yuan, then the outflow of funds become uncontrolable! To prevent outflow, China will have to implement capital control! You don't want to do that! China end up with no foreign investors like what happen to Malaysia!

If China respond with similar tariff then the next round will cover all China goods to US! The pain will be on China consumers!

During the weekend, Mahathir tried to sell the idea of manufacturing 3rd national car in Sabah! I mean, when will this old dude realise he is bringing us into his another fail venture!

Since Geely took over, i have seen Proton transformation in term of quality! And despite improve quality, the price actually drop! So you have good quality cheaper price!
In fact if given choice to buy Perodua or Proton, i would go for Proton!
It's no brainer that all Proton models will be replaced with Geely models! It will be a rebadge exercise! But with more european in design, i think Perodua will have to up their game by next year!
Maybe it's time to buy Drbhcom!

Actually i am happy with this full blwon trade war! Chinese consumers will shift towards buying palm oil instead of soya oil! And US investors will relocate here! Malaysia is a winner! But this will take time!

why other places like muar, melaka have booming furniture industry eventhough got no logging, timber resources? why Sabah with logging instead no such downstream industry? this is obviously poor state economy management? why Sabah got oil but no petrochemical ind? whereas Johor got none but got RAPID??? many examples of misallocation of resources. no wonder sabahan feel pissed off due to unfairness treatment
