Proton should have use generic parts from Japan and South Korea! Instead of Proton vendors producing only Proton parts, this parts can actually compatible with any Japan or South Korea makes! It would have brought down the price and cost of Proton cars then!

In fact in automotive industry, thre's tons of opportunity in producing OEM parts Japan and South Korea brands! Yet Malaysia completely missing out! Why! Because our PM then was so short sighted, he only interested in producing Proton and Proton parts! What a dummy!

Okay, like Mr Koon always remind us, if it makes business sense then go ahead!
Nowadays, Samsung no longer lead in producing latest innovative smartphones! Do you know why! Because Samsung is pouring all their money in producing superior parts! Even the bad parts are sold to other smartphone brands! No wastage at all! This is why Samsung continues to make tons of money!
Likewise, South Korea also lead in electric car revolution! LG is world leader in lithium battery technology! Tesla get batteries from LG! And so do many electric car manufacturers! Eventually, South Korea do come out with their own electric car but the cost of producing their are much cheaper because the are source from the same parts which are sold to other manufacturers!
I don't mind Malaysia coming out with our own electric car! But you must first become world exporters of electric car parts! If Malaysia become centre of electric car parts, eventually you can plug and play all this parts into our very own whole electric car! This is the best cost effective way to go! You don't produce the whole electric car first and force locals to buy them! It doesn't make business sense at all!
Mahathir need to understand, business is business! You don't jump into a new venture not back by establish partners!
Do you know Tesla got their technology from Toyota! That huge floor battery pack technology didn't came from Elon Musk! Toyota had this technology for a decade, just that Toyota don't dare to produce their own fully electric car! Tesla capitalized on Toyota technology! Tesla also capitalized on Panasonic superior battery chemistry! By combining Toyota and Panasonic, Tesla produce their Tesla S and X! And mind you, Tesla interior came from Mercedes! Tesla S borrow so many parts from others!
In short, the new trend is all about producing parts! That's where the margin are!

Somebody please knock some sense in Mahathir mind! We don't have to produce own homegrown electric national car! We just bring in investors to set up factories producing electric car parts! The profit margin on parts are way bigger than producing the whole thing! This is what South Korea are doing! They no longer want to produce the whole car, smartphone or electronics! Instead South Korea focus on producing parts! Even Tesla get their lithium batteries from LG! China gets their smartphones parts from Samsung!

The big word for US investors is relocating! For the next half year, we will see massive US factories heading the exit door from China!
And for the next half year, we will get the figure! Whether we see jump in foreign investment or just mild one because it go to our neighbours!
Vietnam is the most attractive right now! Thailand is another! Malaysia goes right up there because of the many adavantages! In fact Malaysia has all the advantages!
But it all depend on Pakatan government! Are they focus enough or will we see another round of protectionist under Mahathir! Those who experience Mahathir rule will know, this old bugger always act smart but always come short because of his short measured, short sighted and pouring our oil wealth on useless misadventures just to satisfy his pool of cronies and relatives! The whole week, we were fed with expectation that US economic data will shocking result! Hence dollar continued to rise and US thesury bills were the rage of the day!
However, as the data rolled up last night, as i expected, the data was not even close to average expectation! It was mild!
Therefore, i think next week as hedge funds sell their dollar position, reduce their US tresury notes portfolio, our bursa and the rest of asian bourses should capitalize on this shift in capital direction!
Like i said, the rotation play will kick in! Cheers!

The ongoing PKR elections are so attractive that PKR manage to add new members to it's growing list!
Unlike DAP, UMNO, PPBM and Amanah, selection of leaders are open and transparent! Even Azmin and Rafizi cartel have little bearing on members free will!
Going forward, minority races will have no choice but to assimilate into majority muslims and multiracial platform like PKR offers them a chance for equal opportunity in politics!
We are seeing signs that racist based parties are on the decline! UMNO and PAS looks shaky! Malay supremacy or Islam supremacy no longer hold water for majority muslims in Malaysia! Maybe they prefer moderation when it comes to race and religion! I don't know but looking at PKR, it seems majority don't really mind non muslims to be active members and leaders!

This week we saw foreign funds slowly buying in! It's not much but it shows that they have no issue with bursa unlike few months ago!
The political uncertainty no longer an issue! The doubt and fear among foreign funds after pulling 11 billion has subsided!
What i see is, foreign funds has no issue of doubt and fear! They are willing to flow back in to bursa!
And it's very apparent from out currency despite super strong dollar, they actually willing to buy ringgit compare to region currencies which suffer heavy devaluation! We are fortunate in this regard as our ringgit is supported by strong price in crude oil and palm oil! As long as crude oil above usd70, we should be don't okay for the next 5 years! Especially by next year once Petronas major refinary in RAPID start to kick in!
So there's plenty of feel good factors going forward for our bourse and capital market!
Dollar will continue to strengthen! US treasury will remain darling of hedge funds! However, eventually rotation play will kick in as well! I think half a year time, most bourses in Asia region will be in party mode!

It is of course lopsided and unfair!
I think China would have win the war if they agree to fair trades! Chinese are as inteligent as any jews and whites! In fact i think chinese are more intelligent compare to South Koreans and Japanese! Like Malaysia, China will be let down by selfish ambition and glorification of the new Emperor Xi! Late Deng would certainly be very disappointment with China under Xi!

The new reality is that, multiracial parties are much more acceptable compare to single race parties like UMNO, PPBM, Amanah, PAS, MIC and MCA! However Amanah is just subsidiary of DAP to fight PAS! Once PAS becomes irrelevant, i think DAP and Amanah will merge as one entity! Looking at PKR, it seems as long as the head is malay and welfare of muslims are well taken care of, there's no reason to go back to single race parties! If politicians like those UMNO warlords remain in denial, i don't think UMNO would win a single seat come GE15!

For those who still think that if PAS and UMNO merge and 100% muslims will vote for them must be smoking something!
Because it's impossible for all muslim voters to unite unless they fell non muslims are victimizing them!
