Ok ok ok. At 3.00 PE 32 many people say it's overpriced. At 2.90 the PE is not much lower than 32. I'm suprised that many people are buying; the buy queue is still huge. Someone talk of a boycott but it's not happenning. So who is buying? The Institutions? They're fat already. I think it's retail, people who say bad but buying at the back.

I reckon the sell down will last a few days as the sentiment against astro is so overwhelming. Hopefully the equilibrium point is not too low

For me, now in hindsight, it is pure greed. I saw the analyst's report and yet I choose to buy astro. AK put it on the table, I could have ignored it but I succumbed to temptation, hoping to make some money. I choose to follow the masses thinking if I don't I'll miss the boat. Had it moved up I'll sing a thousand praises. To put it simply, I was silly.

Maybe astro is not quite fb II. In the case of Facebook, it is founded on flimsy business model, ie. Advertising revenue - no one wants to pay on the internet. In the case of Astro, revenue comes from subscriptions (guaranteed monthly) and advertising (still minute because the advert are mostly their own advertisement ). So growth must come from growing customer base. Any room to grow? IP TV from UNIFI and others are already here, even though the offerings are not as good. There's also free TV on the internet. How many households are there in this country? With more than a million subscribers, it's close to saturation already. Perhaps astro need to sell multiple subscriptions to each household, similar to ownership of multiple phones. Otherwise growth will be slow.
All is not lost for the astro shareholders. My take on this stock is rely on it's dividend rather than price appreciation

Upon completion, the number of KNM shares will be diluted by 50%. Will the price be adjusted by the same proportion? If so, paying 40 sen is a bit dear. If you do not have KNM shares, it's OK; but if you have your holding will be diluted and you might as well subscribe. Of course I could be entirely wrong

Excellent tutorial. Perhaps, one point to add is that CWs are issued by IBs and often they depress the mother share and send you to Holland. You have to be very savvy to get on top of the IBs

I would'nt want to dispute your reasoning. But if you buy the warrant at 0.21 and the ex price is 1.15, your cost is 1.36. Now, why would you want to buy the warrant when you can buy the mother cheaper at 1.07, unless as what cocolee said - it's treated like any other stock, forgetting the ex-price.
