Spending time waiting for old age to wither! I want coffin covered in diamond like the self-proclaimed First Lady of Malaysia Rosmah's one and concubines surrounding it in hot bikinis! But I know my son will burn me and scatter my ashes in Kallang river! Another wish is to see Karpal Singh become PM

Joeter999, in all fairness, 1Mtalkingkangkung did not make any recommendation to buy or sell Hevea, he merely give advance information. To believe or not to believe the info is solely on your own, and your decision to act on the info or not

It is rather incredible and quite unbelievable to hear this "assuming" business come out of the horse’s mouth.
You are in the defence business and the nation's security is in very large part in your hands, how could you based your judgement upon "assumption" without verification with the civil aviation control tower?
It is not as if the 9/11 disaster in United States had never happened that RMAF can "assume" the object identified was "non-hostile".
Now, I'm really worried of how widely do the civil servants or any officers on duty in their respective fields of service adopt such "assumption" attitude in their work, such as immigration control, cargo inspections, maintenance work, etc.

Calvin, first go take a look at Wisma MPL. Second, go take a look at where the "Iskandar" land that MPC owned. It is not even near Iskandar.
It may be true that China developers are looking for land development projects to invest. But there are also no shortage of supplies of these projects, which mean the China developers have plenty of choices.

@wt222, I have reasoned out why I need a higher bet from you, it is not that I want to "big" you but for reason of gaming tout, really. I am generous enough to even take a smaller bet from you for $5000, provided my stated target is agreeable with you. I stand by my word until 5pm on 14/3 for the 2 offers I made.
Mr. Ooi, perhaps you have missed out this one. It is after wt222 claimed that wikileaks "big" him that wikileaks said $5000 from wt222 will do. It is very clear here.

There have been many theories and hypothesis around missing MH370, but one serious mistake and blunder by Malaysia Air Force was the military failure to act on its radar detection on an UFO (unidentified flying object) now confirmed as MH370.
Instead of admitting to this blunder, the authorities - including the minister and the Air Force chief - chose to go round the bush to find excuse such as the need to analyse the data.
It was such an attitude that have been cultivated over many years governing Malaysia. The present batch of BN nincompoop ministers have totally put the country in shame over this incident.

31 Mac 2014 lah, not 2015
Ooooooi chicken222, today is March 19 (not even 21) and the price is already 1.35, just one little nudge it is already 1.40. LOL

If you must drag "premium" in this discussion, then you must introduce "discount" as well.
For illustration, lets say Hevea-WB is $0.67, Hevea is $ 1.26 and the Strike Price is $1.00 before 31/12/2020. So :
If you buy Hevea-WB and pay the Strike price, your total cost for the Hevea share is $0.67 plus $ 1.00 i.e. $1.67, then you are paying $0.41 PREMIUM ($1.67-$1.26) to the market price of Hevea to essentially own the same thing. That is why, Hevea-WB at the current market price of $0.67 is OUT-OF-THE-MONEY because you will end up paying premium.
For DISCOUNT, that would mean after buying Hevea-WB and paying the Strike Price of $1.00, your total cost to own the newly issued Hevea mother share is LESS than $1.26, that difference is the DISCOUNT. As a rule of thumb, you will only enjoy discount on your new Hevea mother share if the said underlying asset (Hevea-WB) is IN-THE-MONEY
2014-03-17 14:58 | Report Abuse
Hevea-WB is an ICULs and is therefore irredeemable. In a typical Call and Put option arrangement, there is a right of "Call" option by the recipient of an underlying asset and there is a Put option by the grantor of the underlying asset.
In the case of Hevea-WB, which essentially IS NOT a full Call and Put arrangement per se, that is why it is termed generally as a Warrant. It is only a derivative.
Due to the fact that Hevea-WB is Convertable and IRREEMABLE, that mean the grantor has no right to "put" the option to you (the holder of Hevea-WB) by 31/12/2020 and force you to pay the RM 1.00 striking price. On the other hand, the holder of the Call option (or in this case the holder of the warrant or Hevea-WB) has the right to "call" on the grantor to convert this warrant to a mother share of Hevea after paying the strike price of RM 1.00.
Warrant in this case is the underlying asset in the form of a right to buy Hevea mother share at RM 1.00 before 31/12/2020.
2014-03-17 12:27 | Report Abuse
Calls are out-of-the-money when their strike price is above the market price of the underlying asset.
In this case, when you tender your warrant (underlying asset) means you are "calling" the option to be exercised. You probably confused in the "call" and "put" terminology.

Ooi Teik Bee
Conversion price = 1.00
Warrant price = 0.685
Mother share price = 1.28
Conversion price + warrant price < Mother share price = In the money
Presently, it is out of money.
Thank you.

I think Ooi Teik Bee has explained at length the out-of-money definition a few days ago in Jholow's Part 3 article

For a Right Issue exercise, the main obstacle is that the par value of MPCorp is RM 1 per share. How is the company going to undertake the exercise now that the market price of MPCorp is only $0.42?
2014-03-14 11:14 | Report Abuse
But a piece of another news is good in that MPC managed to settled off with Amanahraya Development for the default in an option agreement for RM 120m. First payment will be RM5m upon signing the Settlement Agreement and the balance $115m within 6 month.
The question now is how MPC going to find these $120m? Don't forget they are pursued by RHB Bank for around RM 75m as well and is still fighting the case in the court.
Looks like MPC may have to resort to a Right Issue exercise to come out from this mess

Earlier today, Interpol in a strongly worded statement slammed both Malaysia and MAS for failing to make use of its database on stolen passports.
It said two stolen passports, originally belonging to an Italian and an Austrian and which were used by impostors to board MH370, are listed on its database.
“If MAS and Malaysian Government were able to check the passport details of prospective passengers against Interpol's database, then we would not have to speculate whether stolen passports were used by terrorists to board MH 370,” Interpol secretary general Ronald K Noble said in the statement.

The answers that relatives of passengers on Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 so desperately want could be revealed in court if they sue for emotional distress.
A lawyer has claimed that the Malaysian government has breached its obligations under international law in communicating over the crisis.
In addition, said Australian aviation lawyer Joseph Wheeler (left), the government’s and Malaysia Airlines’ (MAS) handling of the tragedy could open them both to liability, as families begin to consider legal avenues beyond the issue of compensation.
