Formula for dividend = past 12 month historical dividend (in RM) / current stock price (in RM)
As of today = RM0.54 / RM8.18 = 6.6%

Bear in mind...this is only expected dividend %, as there is no promise that stock will declare same dividend in coming years..

since u said u r newbie, i would advise you to download "KLSE Screener" apps..to view all historical dividend, to understand dividend trend and calculation..beside that, also have useful info and news...to help u in making better decision in trading..

last Friday..thinking to grab CIMB @ 4.23/4.24...but was not so confident that time..as i thought it might break 4.20 pulak..missed the bottom fish!!

@hng33..yes...price starts coming down from 8.20 peak..might be a short-break before shooting further today or tomolo..

Today and tomorrow show-time...wed cuti...thursday kelam-kabut pre-brexit vote...friday post-brexit vote impact...

with my current avg price..div yield is @ 6.5%..much higher than on-going 4.31% Maybank 12m eFD promo...actually i combined both..for a balance portfolio..

also dont forget, EPF and Amanah Saham also giving 6.x% div yield (hope it will continue like this....)

EPF u can add contribution (beside statutory contribution) using Self-Contribution option via M2U or CIMB online....without any extra charge..
Amanah Saham (non-bumi scheme)..its all depends luck,..u only can deposit wherever there is quota.

Maybank is KLCI heavyweight...it may trigger panic selling if 1,600 level broken..

maybank definitely wont collapse unless there is serious mgmt scandal or govt change hand...as of now its only about ur avg price, holding period and div yield...

as long as..we keep avg price well-below SMA-200..:))

my opiniom.. if Brexit 'Leave'...maybank might dip upto 7.50..if 'Remain'..that a super great news..

for now, just want to accumulate some at 8.00 to avg down..

Probability for interest rate hike is only 4%...but many investor still believing that it will be a hike this Wed, even with poor major economic data..hope not trap like on 3rd June..
