any news on the JAKS injunction court case ?

The JAKS-Star dispute started on Feb 19 when JAKS announced that it had instructed its lawyers to file an injunction with the court to block two financial institutions from releasing the bank guarantees to Star. In response, Star said it called on bank guarantees amounting to RM50 million after JIC failed to complete and deliver Tower A in accordance with the deadline. The High Court has fixed the hearing of the applications for the injunction on March 20.

today court will decide on injunction ?

dont think the legal dispute is risky. i would like to know how will JAKS be defeated in the court case and what JAKS had done wrong ?

so far i read/understand that:-
-STAR made some revision
-JAKS may need time to and resources to complete it
-JAKS wants to claim the additional cost to the revisions
- the building is 90+% completed,
-maybe the time taken to complete is prolonged due to revisions, STAR wants to claim 50million performance guarentee.
- JAKS thinks its not fair
-STAR initiate legal action.

in my opinion(maybe wrong), if some revision needs to be made, the time is needed to do it. The time should be agreed but have to cater for unforeseen situation, Unless proven is contractor under performance. As for the cost whether can claim, depends on the contract.

So far, i dont know which detail in the contract JAKS did not meet.

Lawsuit and demand from STAR looks unreasonable reading from KYY's statement. For sure there is a clause that is broken to enable STAR to initiate lawsuit. As it is not cheap and fast to fight this battle, STAR is heading towards disaster. Moreover, the trust and partnership to build the building is gone. I mean its almost complete and buyer throw shit at the vendor. Are they so cheap to mean that you build the building for me, cater to all my changes, now i throw you a lawsuit so that i can eat your 50 million ? This business is crazy.

why it was penalized by IRB for 45M tax ?does it mean that they try to evade tax but fail ?
