Anyone has the latest update of the construction of Pacific Star?

It will takes time to generate more revenue. At least, this quarter it reflected the drop in resin price etc. As long as the resin price keep at the same level, SCGM's profit will increase once the sales volume pick up. From my point of view, they are doing the right things, e.g. have flexibility to tailor their products to suits client. The environmental friendly products will get more important in coming years.

Based on my research on PLUS Expressway, their share number was 5.0B (oppose to potential future share number for WCE of 3.0+B), so I would not be worry about the dilution, as long as the profit and revenue is good for WCE.

I never come across people who tell me a 'guaranteed' stock which will earn money. You need to take calculated risk. If you have time to read the annual reports, the highway construction is progressing. I cannot guarantee that when will they complete the full project, but, for sure, they will start charging tolls and money will roll into the company.

For the first few years, it is true that the maintenance cost is high, and profit may be minimal. However, please see other highways, such as LITRAK. The profit will become booming after few years.

This is my own opinion (and buy at your own risk). I, at least, am prepared to hold WCE for 5years (till October 2024).

Hi Steady31, it is difficult to understand on how you derived a revenue for WCE of 400m with Edibta of 270m? If we prorata with PLUS (and indeed some stretches of the WCE will be toll free), then can't we project a WCE revenue of 1.3billion with EDIBTA of 0.88 billion.

If you read United Plantation quarterly report which was out last night, they did mention that the purchase of land is going ahead, pending for government approval. I cannot see why the government will disapprove this purchase.

Plantation stock is like any other sector. It is cyclical. In my case, I am buying when people is selling. Do your homework, when you buy palm oil stock, you are buying their land and asset too.

Dutaland recently sold their land for RM70000/Hektar, but you can buy very well managed oil palm with half the price
