Goreng up again?

To me, collecting at RM8000 constantly is very small amount to me, but that's how I try to average my cost of investment over a stretch of time, so I won't buy too high or too low, but average & cautiously.

Periodical & constant reviews on the price movement and surrounding factors of the stocks that you invested, and adjust the decisions accordingly to make yourself in the better positions in all kinds of situations.

AlanNga, to be honest with you, I made profit from the previous increase in Lay Hong Price when it reached 70 cents.

To tell the truth, I am again collecting now.

It is important to apply your own buying & selling investing skills & strategies when come to stock investment.

At the peak, I have 90% of total funds invested in stock market in the whole 2017 until the last theme play of steel stocks in last August~September.

Since then, I cash out all my funds & converted into FD after doing nothing for 6 months & sitting in the securities accounts earning little interest.

Currently, I have less than 10% funds made available for stock market.

My record for this year was loss of 25% & was able to reduce the loss back to 10%, very much thanks to Lay Hong.

For the whole 2018, I have been nervous & in fear about the prospect of the stock market, the stock pick 2018 results proved I am right.

But I trust there are always chances to spot good trading/investing opportunities individually.

Hope I can buy some good stock at very cheap price, slowly & progressively.

Agreed. Try not to be too greedy and not to be too fearful. Know what you are buying and most importantly, know yourself.

Any how, all must be based on one solid factor, the company must be a genuine company, not pisang goreng type. :)

That's not always the easy to buy at bottom and to sell at top. Some time we got it, most of the time we miss it

When the price shoot up too fast & over my own expectation, I will try to review the situation & act accordingly.

Normally, too fast mean not solid.

I prefer slowly & steady. I personally believe that it will reach RM1 in 1~2 years time IF all are executed well in accordance to what has been planned & expected, but it does not mean I will just sit there & do nothing.

I will try to ride on top of the market behaviours & make maximum benefits out of it. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. But generally, it works OK to me in many cases.

Whenever price drop again, it makes itself attractive to me.

Of course, I have been very cautious since the last steel theme play in last year's September, I do not go big since then but to go on stages. Buy progressively and sell slowly. Not to be greedy but to stay relevant to stock market.

In the US etc, brokerages etc keep track for you. You just pay on the amount shown net of trans cost.

I don't mind paying tax on the gain, but extremely reluctant to face the possible disagreement from IRB officer when come to tax audit.

They may challenge you to produce every contract to substantiate the transactions.

Imagine you buy many batches & sell in many batches at different prices in a single day or many different days. It is crazy to compile "correct" gain/loss from a single share, not to mention if you buy sell more than 10 counters at different times.

If it becomes reality, I will have no choice but to start learning overseas' markets & say good bye to Bursa.

It is too complicated when come to income tax computation. Any misconcept or miscalculation of gain/loss will get yourself killed by IRB, easily.

You are right, KLCI King, when the mother is doing well, market will give additional premium to warrant.

Market expectation in good time = Higher will get higher

Vce versa, during panic time = "Lower will be even lower"

That's why discount come in.

And I think they are doing well in that direction.

It is confusing comments from qqq3, sapura is at the down cycle of oil & gas & it needs few years to recover.

Prior to recovery, it needs reinvestment & to spent capital expenditure to catch up the recovery.

total current assets of sapura = 4.4billion
total current liabilities of sapura = 8.4billion

It is obviously Sapura has problems meeting its short-term obligations (current liabilities), not to mention to meet capex requirement to ride on the recovery.

That's the reason Sapura needs right issue.

For business, plant & machinery are income generating assets.

For non-business, motor vehicle is a depreciating asset.

Hi robot888, biological assets means egg layers, chicken that are reared for laying eggs.

Once these chicken will be slaughtered for food processing purposes once they reach the end of the laying cycles, no wastage.

For the breakdown of the trade receivables, you can refer to the past years' annual reports, analysis of collectibility of these receivables have been disclosed in complying with the listing requirements.
