850,000 ton of CRC were imported 5 years ago...cant imagine the opportunity to capture local market share now.

Especially now that they can use higher quality HRC - iron ore based to produce High End CRC..

Having both CSCSteel & Mycron are because of different strategies, I own both also.

CSCSteel = capital gain + confirmed dividend
Mycron = capital gain + possible dividend

Since CSCsteel has not gone down much in the past, so the potential gain will be much lesser than Mycron.

But CSCSteel is leading player in CRC industry in terms of financial positions + production capacity, so deserve to have premium over other players.

Based on projection of WealthWizard, current price is Forward PE of 4.6

China CRC is direct competitor (major imports) to local CRC producers (CSCSteel & Mycron), there are 3 very good factors in building the moat for CSCSteel & Mycron:

1. Increase in China CRC make imports more expensive
2. Anti-dumping duties over China CRC make them even more expensive
3. Meanwhile, Mycron can import import-duty exempted HRC with saving of RM400 per tonnes
4. CSCSteel will import HRC from its taiwan HQ with lesser saving, no sure how much but definitely less than RM400.
