TH Heavy Receives Supply Contract For MMEA

KUALA LUMPUR, July 28 (Bernama) -- TH Heavy Engineering Bhd has received a non-binding letter of intent (LoI) for the supply, delivery, testing and commissioning of three Offshore Patrol Vessels units, complete with fittings and accessories (OPV) for the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA).

"This LoI shall be subject to a mutual agreement being reached between MMEA and the company, wherein the company will make further announcement on the matter," TH Heavy said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia Thursday.

On Tuesday, TH Heavy received an unusual market activity (UMA) query from Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd due to the recent sharp rise in the former's share prices and volume traded.

As at mid-day, the company's shares was unchanged at 22 sen with 102.17 million shares changing hands. It was the second most actively traded stock in the morning session.
