Regarding Top Glove and Supermax, it is possible that the short seller might not have been able to find counterparties willing to lend out their shares. This seems to be the case in particular with Supermax where the volumes have been low throughout the last couple of weeks.

Partial true, some volume transacted are very suspicious, big volume selling down for no reason and at same timing. They might get help from some underground RSS which shark loan the shares to FF at higher interest. Internet also have dark web, all illegal, money laundering activities are performed on the dark web.

After short selling, the short sellers would buy back the shares slowly quietly without pushing up the price, even they can monitor to buy back at the same time of short selling not necessarily to wait until finish short selling. u might not realize when and how they buy back. Thus after short selling the stock price might not be up and it might be stagnant at certain level.

Not true. All RSS have agreed settlement date. Failure to deliver will fined 5% penalty.

The growth projection is in line with that of the Malaysian Rubber Glove Manufacturers Association (Margma).

Of late, there is a trend of the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) off-loading its stockholding in Top Glove Corp Bhd, the world’s largest glove maker.

Suffice to say that between Nov 26 and Dec 24 alone, the retirement fund has reduced its stake in Top Glove from 6.03% or 484.82 million shares to 5.11% or 409.93 million shares. This means that EPF is a mere 0.11% away from relinquishing its position as a substantial shareholder of the company.


While epf is reducing its stake in Top glove, others are increasing its stake of top gloves greatly.
