My biggest problem with airasia is too excited to realise my gains but still wanting to hokd AA long term for up to 2 years to realize all the exciting things they are doing and the growth they are experiencing. Its difficult as a trader.

Hahaha made contra gains more than 10 rounds, long term holdings which is fully loaded now on handsome paper profit. Sell now also i should be very happy but no, im waiting for even more and more. I promised my wife 3 holidays after AA to make-up for my research hours. AA will more than pay for that. I used my eyes to do research instead of looking at someones big picture and instead of a win-win plan, i had an all-in-all-win plan. Laugh.

AA should be rated now due to IAA starting contribute to profits quite well, forex not effecting AA and hedge well done, oil very low for foreseeable future, passenger load every growing, anxillary income can increase substantially next year on digitization meaning even greater profits, balance sheet keep getting better and better which AAC sale should provide great one-off and even more factors...too many to list. Hahaha. I wont sell now at all. Being very patient.

Let this be a lesson to newcomers. Do not invest in shares with your emotions. I feel the fallout to the whole USD appreciation was abit too much and you could tell even on this forum the emotional reaction to that was excessive. Looks like the next stage to increase profitibility is to boost anxillary income by introducing more digital services onboard flights. This should boost earnings quite abit.

Yes great comment by feicsh, they did really well and the hedge is up to 62% now at a great rate. This is why i too was not too concerned with the forex situation. They can manage it well and AAC will create a realized gain on forex once it wraps up.

Yes AA Indonesia is the turnaround story this quarter and this bodes really well for sentiment as associates start to contribute to profitibility.

The timeline for AAC is getting closer and closer. December we should see newsflow on offers etc. This will peak interest. Fireworks countdown is started. As for results, its very good and the forex work is well done to mute the usd myr volatility. Cant wait for 4th qtr numbers!! All is well hehe. I can sitback and relax and just wait.

I believe 4th qtr load will break 90% but hopefully yield does not suffer too much. I believe their margin is still comfortable for the next 3 years atleast.

Never doubted you for one second sifu icon. I bought in since 2.80s level and averaged down all the way into 2.50s and had about 10 contra gains so far in between with long term holdings in profit already at this point. Your articles and insights were instrumental in my decision making.

Everything on track well now. Just waiting patiently to cash in at the right time. May not be after QR tho...AAC will be bigger sentiment wise imo. My wife already plan for hawaii, alaskan cruise and maldives trip...AA trade will make it free for me hehehe

As i said this morning, go look back at trading statistics and you will understand that the selldown is not severe in value and volume. That is nothing that you can start saying FF is rushing out. Now you can see by the lack of resistance in the rebound as well. If this is a FF cycle to rush out, no way this rebound can occur with very little resistance. Sikit2 FF this and FF that.

I highly doubt you can call what we saw the last few days as FF selling/ liquidating! Go look back at the volume and value and think for yourself. If FF wanted to sell out fast it wont be like that at all. If you think a move from 2.80s to 2.50s with so low volume in that many days is FF selling out of AA then you need to rethink investing in stock market.

I wonder why then aircraft leasing business is such a huge industry and highly profitable?? Wow

calvin, you must also factor in its ability to hedge against forex volatility, asset sales also denominated in USD, growing load factors, increase in tourism due to forex advantage, oil price adjustment to strengthening usd, ability to pass on cost and more. Not everything is simple but perspective must be all inclusive as well.

Not to mentioned sale value of AAC per share. Need to input that as well.

Retailer mentality is very clear here. Lack of control of emotions. Every price movement must be something really bad happened until die or something really good happened until heaven. The price movement is understandable given the run-up and sentiment of USD. Its just a portfolio choice to reallocate. It doesnt need to be disaster. If you have holding power then why worry? No need to speculate to match your emotions. The facts will not change so easily based on your panic.

Even at close 2.78 Q cannot match. To me it is simple range movement. No excessive buy or sell to up or down. No major catalyst for a big move up or down. Oh btw, supermx2, I make more money from AA trading this range. How?

Have to wait for Deutsche bank situation to play out. The longer the situation is not clear, world markets will be under pressure as sentiment about a ripple effect especially in banking and lending will dominate. Hope Deutsche bank or german govt will move to calm markets.

Look at index please, look at other counters also, look at Dow last night. Deutsche bank sentiment is dominating. Risk off/ profit taking setting in. Not just AA effected. But volume is thin in AA for that.
