Guys, US markets sold off across the board as rate hike bets increase for sept. Dovish voting member of the Fed seem to turn more hawkish and so it seems now sept. could be the month to hike before elections there. Perhaps dec and nov is too close to elections for them and that leaves sept to move if they want to do one this year. Personally i think they should hike once this year and sept is good as any.

We can expect FF to pull some funds out to move back there leading up to the hike and if there is one, a little time after. After that, i expect markets to continue where they left off.

That means for me, i already dipped my toes abit into AA, i will be more selective in my adding and wait for pullbacks. I wont chase higher than 2.90 for now. Of course all of this subject to change on the Fed outlook of rate hike. We can wait and see on monday how US markets trade and see how much momentum the hike expectation gathers.

This is why when trading volatile stocks u need to have few rounds of buying and possible average down. Even when your stock fly and you sell off, maybe you still have capital for 2 rounds adding not utilized afterall. This is how it should be and how u manage your risk. So now i can be relaxed that i have some if it flies and alot more bullets if it falls.

No need to panic or worry. Manage your entries and risk and you will trade easy. I have done it for 10 years as a trader. No matter what, come divestment, AA is still a good trade and im confident of profits. Fundamentals for the next 2 years still look good to me.

Me as well linges, I usually do not like holding airlines stock due to volatility in terms of oil, forex and competition. But AA now is a diff story, you can see them turning the corner on competition after few years of fighting and load factor is improving big time; jet fuel should stay low for next 1 or 1 half years; forex is manageable as RM is in this 4-4.30 range BUT most importantly is this AAC divestment play which is a huge catalyst due to great valuations and the usage of proceeds. This is why I have decided to enter AA now.

Samer, the support is very strong still. Given the situation today, there's no reason to hold it so high at 2.89/2.90 in this tight range other than there is accumulation..

I have to admit, even though it is a selling day such as today but the buying support is very strong in a narrow range indicating accumulation...uptrend intact!

Too low volume this morning as they are holding back their sell orders. This means afternoon could be heavier selling..

BB come in to help stabilize..

I agree what was said above, too many kids around this forum these days and not adding much facts and reasonable point of view. I'm always of the mindset that retailers should try to help each other with information etc and exchanging views is useful to test your own thinking. Retailers are at a disadvantage as it is, take this forum as a useful tool to boost your trading and don't waste your time.
