What is the plan? How will they grow the topline and bottom line? Their plantation certainly cannot create much growth. The LNG segment not big enough or high margin enough. The other segments are also all low margin. I dont see any fundamental prospects for high growth. Please elaborate..

Yes the price is the lowest but why has it gone that low in a downtrend over some time in the first place? The profits are definitely an issue but is there more to this steady downtrend?

In terms of growth it cannot be considered real growth la. Look at revenue since 2015. It is virtually flat and ore than that put in the inflationary factor and you dont have any growth. Look at the PBT, PAT, EPS and ROE. All this paint to a gloomy picture going forward. Sure there is profits and dividends but if the issues that caused these declines persists, are we looking at more declines moving forward.

For me, I would need a light at the end of the tunnel to be more convinced, a catalyst of some sorts that will boost revenues, margins, and bottom line. There is the philipines business that is a wildcard so maybe that is a lifeline but their effective stake isnt as big as bjcorp.

The buying off 2.50 since the huge volume day hasnt taken off aggressively. So not a strong pivot meaning there are headwinds in the stock that make speculators avoid it for the rebound. May rebound but maybe wont be too much and thereafter will take time to recover to 3.00. Just my view. Maybe others can give their views..

Seems overbought and price stagnating with lower volume. Maybe will drift sideways until closer to next qtr results?

I mean I see there have been structural changes to the company and that earnings are getting more stable hence why I bought in. To me, fundamentally it looks like a turnaround story but not very aggressive turnaround as the earnings doesnt seem too likely to grow very strong. That being said, the stock is still trading cheap-ish so i've no issue with buying a little and just keep it in the deep freezer for awhile. Maybe will look back after a year..

On speculative side, it has the GE theme on its side but Im not sure if that will do much for it as the earnings are still too soft to have any expectation that it can move based on anything.

Can u share on your perspective?

All I can say from today AA price action is super bullish..it has some way to go and the way its going is very stable movement. If AAC comes at the end of June then it will be fireworks..

hard to predict la if 2.50 will hold..but most likely ok..may take time to rise as reasons are unclear..

AA will need 3-4 days consolidate above 3.30 I believe before it can break 3.40. Just my opinion..

nobody will take it up I believe and it will lapse and status quo remain..its a non-event..

@suicide_squad, I dont touch warrants but C49 seems to be in the money for holders..

It should consolidate for abit before can break 3.40. Its better that way..too fast later no legs to stand..

Most importantly, supermx2 is not around anymore...

This time round, the movement is alot better than before the selldown because alot of speculators and short term traders already took profit. Holders now are a stronger base. This will be a good leg up until AAC. There will be profit taking at levels but shouldnt be anymore panic selling. This is possible especially because RM and oil is heading in the right directions for AA and 2nd qtr number should be good.

I dont see another selloff before AAC tho. I think the AAC announcement will come late june - mid july. It will just be announcement first but that will be enough to sustain the movement. EGM to follow after..

As I said earlier, to say that the Qatar issue will effect oil prices significantly is silly. See now oil reversed the gains already. Qatar is a small player in oil compared to other middle east producers. If anything, if they start pumping out of the OPEC deal then it may give other members and excuse to ignore the quotas and the production cut may be on wobbly legs. AA still on recovery mode. I suspect it will consolidate above 3.30 and 3.30 will act as a support in the near term, now there is slight profit taking at 3.30 from short term traders but shouldnt be hard to overcome.

buy rate is plenty good..

No action..go for a nap and dream of AAC divvy..

@mancingbursa, you have alot of learning to do when it comes to trading. You will realise with more experience that you dont need to obsess about buying the lowest and selling the highest.

You will learn there is a trade off between buying lowest and buying slightly higher to see other confirming signals. Why dont you just say whoever didnt buy all their shares at 2.90+ this round made a mistake?

Holding at 3.05 now, i can easily sell now for huge gain. Why obsess about buying lower? Also you will learn in time to filter out noise like the Qatar sanctions on crude oil price and not react to it by knowing the real trend mover in a particular time. Nvm learn slowly with supermx2.

Oil in trouble now. Even geopolitical tensions sends it lower. Market just choose to take a negative view on it when crude is concerned. Crude could have rallied when the Qatar sanctions occured but after a knee-jerk rise, it dropped back. This is because on a fundamental basis, traders are still bearish as they do not see in the near term a catalyst to alter supply-demand outlook which bears are winning now. Opec cut is losing to shale rise..simple as that.
