As long as general environment is still positive and catalysts are still there then the uptrent is alive. Dont be so chicken la.

Its not hard for me personally to decide to hold. Overall market is posotive and i believe 2017 will be a very good year for bursa on the possibility of elections (go see how market rallied last election). Secondly AA has so many corporate actions to come i.e catalysts for stock price to move up. AAC announcement not even here yet. Previous high not even challenged yet and of course it should be as AA is as bullish as it has ever been in the best year for overall market. Oil going down. Ringgit stabilizing and trending lower. So to sell now? Hahaha im not that silly.

Sofu icon, my opinion is like that also. I always think these strategical road blocks on an overwhelmingly bullish stock are just operator's speed bump.

Valuelurker i highly doubt it is priced in. If it is then try to calculate what is the market cap of the rest of AA without the rm4.5-4.8 bil AAC value. It doesnt make sense.

It has been on an uptrend for awhile now. A major catalyst is about to be announced i.e AAC divvy. Depending on the news, market reaction could be good or bad depending on the amount of divvy announced. I believe the chance for a good amount of divvy and so good news is high but its not 100%. Because of that, it wont be surprising if big holders were to take some small amount of profit first to balance their risk to the announcement. No need so worried la..

Sifu Icon, yes i agree it wont effect AAC bids. They have been confident all the way altho these capital control talks have been around for awhile.

Interesting trading day today. Did not expect that and makes me wonder the reason but what is certain is that i can take the chance to add more at 2.80. Not long to show i hope. With FF back in bursa and epf also buying in, i think the timing is just perfect for a huge AAC rally. Would be diff if FF are not back in local bourse but now they are.....we all stand to profit more.

I waited at 2.80 and 2.77 and manage to match at 2.80 hehe. Price go down also im happy today.

@feicsh I've always said from a very long time ago that shale oil technology will evolve rapidly as it is only an its infancy. Those ppl talking about offshore oil vs shale oil proven reserves are not thinking properly because the amount of shale being touted as proven reserve is as per current technology only. If you factor in future technological advancement then shale oil has huge potential that can send crude prices very very low for very very long. This is not to mention the shift to renewable energy even for fossil energy players. It doesnt make sense for crude to be higher than $50. Even new planes are becoming more fuel efficient.

Im sure oil will not be such a big factor anymore in aviation in years to come which is one of the main arguments to keep some AA long term. Of course the other part of that argument is airflight demand and growth vs supply increase. Also another factor is competitive edge which AA is already way ahead imo.

@cruger I have not look in detail into genting but the first thing that come to my mind is that perhaps market is pricing in possible retracement of mother share. What are the possibilities and factors that can trigger that?
