The research firm reiterates its “overweight” call on the sector underpinned by the expected recovery in banks’ net profit growth. It’s top picks for the sector are Public Bank Bhd, Hong Leong Bank Bhd and RHB Bank Bhd.

It noted that none of the Malaysian banks have been able to rival Public Bank’s operational efficiency, as reflected by its consistently lowest cost-to-income ratio, which stood at 32.7% in 4Q20. This was significantly below the sector’s average of 44.4%.

The long awaited NIIS project worth RM1.16b has finally been awarded to IRIS.

Genting Empire Resort to start video gaming parlour in New York

KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 9): Genting Malaysia Bhd's 49%-owned associate Genting Empire Resorts LLC, which operates the Resorts World Catskills (RWC) casino in New York, said developing a video gaming machine facility in Orange County has, for many years, been part of RWC's long-term vision for Hudson Valley and Catskills within the US state.

"It will create hundreds of good-paying union jobs, generate significant revenue for New York's public schools, and is an important step in ensuring the long-term sustainability of RWC," Genting Malaysia was quoted as saying in a statement to the Times Herald-Record on Friday (Feb 5).

Times Herald-Record reported that the casino operators which run RWC in Sullivan County plan to open a new gambling hall with video lottery terminals in part of the Newburgh Mall.

EPF won't sell all PBbank share because PBbank provide of Good Dividend % and upside chances is very good. PBbank shouldn't be a problem touching RM5 if Covid-19 over.
If EPF have met his target and stop selling, PBbank could up even faster.

EPF is going to announce their Dividend % soon. Meaning by now they should have enough money.

If Gkent and MRCB could build the LRT3 by them self, no need to sub to others contractors, they can save a lot of cost. But too bad, Gkent does not have the knowledge.

Don't know when EPF will stop selling. Once they have reach their target amount and stop selling.
Public Bank is going to fly high. Believe me, EPF won't sell all PBbank shares as they don't want mostly Chinese fully control the bank.

Genting Berhad is higher than PBbank now.

EPF is not going to sell all PBbank share, they won't allow PBbank become a solely Chinese control Bank. I hope Singapore Great Eastern could buy more since EPF is selling. I would prefer to let Singapore company holding more PBbank shares.

Since last quarter PBbank didn't give any Dividend, So I expect next month they will give very good dividend as like combine 2 into 1.
