@peace99, yes, we can actually sell/buy odd lots from our platforms, u can right click the name and choose ''odd lot info'', or for some platforms u click on ''normal odd lot'', then select the stock name and see. Currently normal lot best buy is 1.99, but oddlot best buy is 1.86.

@cronch, yep, need to take note on that 0.83sen taxable amount, for us, we will only get 0.83x0.90=0.747sen, because there is a 10% tax. On the reinvestment portion (0.011sen) however, there is no tax there. we can check the announcement there-

oh, alternatively we can also calculate how many units we are entitled to reinvest based on the options (1.1sen or 0.55sen), eg. if we have 5000units now, assuming we choose 1.1sen option, units entitled = (5000x0.011)/RM1.88 = 29.25units, if we choose 0.55sen, (5000x0.0055)/RM1.88=14.62 units.
Actually if we are into long term, odd lots don't matter much becos next quarter we will get more dividends as we have more units on hand (reinvest at 0 brokerage); but if we are in short term, ya, better choose cash.

@shazza, yes, in the form it will state how many units we are qualified to reinvest in, from there we will know whether we will get odd/normal lots. Cheers :)

i think one shud fact check on the management see if he/she is doing something to ''unlock'' the value, after so many years, if nothing is done, then we shud believe the so called ''undervalued'' can continue to undervalue as they have no intention to do anything...we can take a look at some of the plantation companies, many of its NTA are way higher than its traded share price for so long, and yet the mgt do nothing to their lands/estates..

@moneyaddicted90, mkt may not reflect the future value of a company at times, simply due to there are too many variables in play, eg. different people perceives information differently, and different risks appetites, fund mgr's portfolio rebalancing, foreign currencies fluctuations, as well as the country's political and policies risks etc. That is why we see there is always someone selling at any price, at any time, even as low as 90sens+ earlier this yr.

another way of seeing PE for cyclical sector is, when price is 4, eps is 0.08, PE is 50, but when eps is 0.16, price remains at 4, PE is now 25x, be cautious not to go in to buy ''cheap'' by that time..as PE is always recording from the past QRs.
