台湾富士康科技集团(Foxconn Technology Group)首家生产电动汽车电池的工厂周三破土动工。这是这家电子产品代工企业进军蓬勃发展的电动汽车行业的最新动作。

富士康表示，计划投资大约新台币60亿元（相当于2亿美元左右），在台湾南部的高雄建造电池生产线和一个研发中心。

该工厂将生产磷酸铁锂电池，这种电池技术得到了特斯拉(Tesla Inc., TSLA)推崇。富士康表示，计划于2024年初在该工厂试量产磷酸铁锂电池。

泰国投资促进委员会 (BOI) 在一份声明中表示，富士康与 PTT 合资公司 Horizon Plus Co 项目是周一批准的几个投资申请之一。这些申请项目的投资总额为 2095 亿泰铢，涉及制造业和基础设施，还包括泰国正大集团旗下亚洲时代一号公司投资 1623 亿泰铢，建设连接曼谷三个机场和东部经济走廊的高铁项目。

“该合资公司项目将支持电动汽车产业的投资，建立在让泰国成为东南亚电动汽车制造中心的政策之上。”泰国投资促进委员会秘书长马碧云 (Duangjai Asawachintachit) 表示。

泰国投资促进委员会还批准了改进后的支持政策，扶持现有和新项目的电动汽车电池生产投资，其中包括如果电池产量在国内销售，原材料和基本材料的进口关税将在 5 年内降低 90%。

鸿海于2021年取得DNeX约5.03%股权，而DNeX握有大马晶圆厂SilTerra约60%股权，此举意味着鸿海已间接投资大马8英寸晶圆厂。该马来西亚厂月产能目标4万片，规模仅次于台积电熊本厂的5.5万片，比联电在新加坡的扩产规模还大，凸显鸿海集团在半导体领域的企图心。

未来鸿海将与SilTerra共同在半导体、电动汽车等领域深度合作，符合鸿海“3＋3”领域投资规划之一。接下来，鸿海将借助马来西亚政府以及DNeX集团的力量，进一步跨入12英寸晶圆厂的领域。

至此，一座新晋半导体帝国已经隐隐若现。
