Price drop because of rights issue. The company is asking for money for expansion/ business activities. Once you buy, you need to hold for long time to see it bear fruits. This stock is good for long term investors.

Kinda agree with berry that BJCORP is "JUST AN INCUBATOR FOR OTHER BUSINESS!"...it reflects my sentiment as a shareholder of BJCORP. Totally disappointed with this stock.

What ever positive comments mentioned on this stock, it didn't reward its retail shareholders in terms of dividend or share price increase. Current price level is a embarrassment to say the least.

That's a very good review on this stock. However, how do you explain the fall in price from RM 1.00 2 years ago to a mere RM0.50 recently? The dividend paid is a stingy 1% of par value per annum? Money better off placed in a FD compared to investing in this stock.

This stock has not brought any value to long term investors thus far except for skilled short term traders or scalpers.

A disappointing stock to say the least.....my 2 cents.

presint: The odd lots may be sold via your remiser through their portal. Contact your remiser.

Price will surely drop after right issue due to share dilution as they are issuing new shares in exchange for cash from investors. EPS will drop proportionately. I read that the price will be around $2.40 a share after the exercise.

Rights issue is a taboo for short term investors ;-)

Those that bought below $4 are selling them now for a profit.

If you go the supermarkets, you can see that there are many small flour millers that are not listed in Bursa. They produce flour that are mostly cheaper than MFM. Not to mention Tepung gandum 1 Malaysia.... Generally consumers will go for the cheaper version. Wheat flour is wheat flour whatever the brand?

The only positive fact is that MFM is involved in poultry business as well. If MFM overseas business is good then this stock will rise with time due to the dividend payout.

Hi Invibeginner, to put it simply, the money they use to pay the dividend to you needs to come from somewhere. On the Ex date, the opening price will be lower after reflecting the value of the dividend that was taken off.

eboon, you need to sell those odd shares via your remiser. You can't do it online. Please note that the price of the odd-lots market varies a lot from the actual market price. If you intent to sell, the price would be significantly less than market value and if you want to buy, it is significantly higher than market value.
(Market price/ value is the price the regular mother share is being traded)

Becareful! Looking at the chart it will drop further. Hope it doesn't drop till PN17 then close shop.

Yes andyteng. That is what my remiser tells me everytime I ask about Berjaya counters. Look elsewhere unless you are prepared to hold for a very very long time with measly dividend if any. Better off investing in other shares.

This counter is a MAJOR disappointment. Stay away! As far as I know, loses in Silverbird is one of the contributory problem. Price sliding gradually....may touch 50cents?

If I recall correctly, one of the reason the company made a loss before was because of stiff competition.

When I go to the supermarkets, I note that there are many brands of flour to choose from. Many are cheaper than MFM brand. One example is the 1Malaysia Flour.

In Kuching, I have yet to find the MFM brand of flour. I deduce that although food/flour is a necessity, consumers have a wide choice to choose from. MFM does not have monopoly over it.

Chloe, if you sold it before ex date ( 13/9/12) then you will NOT be entitiled for any dividend.

If you sell ON the ex date (13/9/12) then you will still be entitled for the dividend.
Please note that the price of the stock on ex date usually will be lower than before ex date as the dividend payable is taken into account.

The dividend you are entitled is RM 0.0105 per share or RM 1.05 per lot (100 shares).

From what I see, Suisse Credit also disposed 5.8 million shares on 22/8 and 42000 shares on 16/8.

I note they bought 216 million shares the day before. Not sure why. Perhaps you are right but so far the only possible good news is the measly 1% dividend declared.

I was told very difficult to play Berjaya counters by my remiser.

BJCORP recent major setback is the loss in Silverbird. Need to wait a few quarters before able to see if the share price moves to above current price.

Right now no stimulus for this stock to move.

This stock technically downward trend. Need to wait for uptrend before going in. It all started when the cornerstone investors dump their shares. Recently even AK dump his shares.

Miss this stock at $3.80++. Remiser said price already too high and its par value is only 1cent and price may drop. . Now price even higher. ***face palm*** Should have just bought then.

The thing with Digi stock, price is more volatile compared to Maxis. The price of Maxis is more stable (except for the time when AK sold some shares).

If the price drops, I will sure buy some and keep for dividend.

I have some shares in SUNWAY. Price now is deemed below NTA value. I also cannot understand why there is no dividend so far. Anybody knows why? Quite disappointed with this stock.

Can bursa query them when they say will declare dividend but did not? That sounds like misleading the investors.
