As inflation grows, dollar store type businesses (MRDIY) will flourish. Its something I have witnessed in UK during 2008 financial crisis, the Poundland stores (1pound store) were packed day in day out.

Coming back to my point about immediate term effects of taking over an ice cream business, what FFB would probably be able to do is add to their consolidated accounts to show higher revenue and profits, since Inside Scoop already has a steady stream of revenue and profit. And adding to that, FFB has the raw materials to supply InScoop thus lowering the cost of business and increasing profit margin. Time will tell.

Nothing fishy la, its normal for investors and traders to take profit after such a big run. It also means you get a chance to buy or add more.

How does Creador's shareholding of MRDIY have any effect on OPR?

Kind of strange that they would use the proceeds of the IPO for this ice cream business and their Jom Cha franchise, rather than the planned Australian production expansion. Although it might be more profitable in the long term, but in the immediate term, consumer spending is about to take a hit as interest rates continue to hike. Seriously need to think about whether worth holding onto FFB after this.

If we compare Swift to its peers, Swift is considered very undervalued. It might take a bit of time for Swift to unlock its potential in the acquisitions made.

The immediate threat now though is that travelers are willing to pay a very high premium to fly, so airlines are trying to milk as much as they can from this "revenge flyers". Most of the flyers now paying for the high premium are those that are flying to see families that they missed during lockdown. It is similar to what happened after 9/11, when people were afraid of flying and airlines had to reduce certain routes, but the first flyers were those that desperately needed to visit families and were willing to pay the premium. Lets hope more people start flying again so airlines will have to open more routes and increase frequencies of flights, forcing them to lease planes from AA

Stock

Its true that AA made money from leasing aircraft, that is why they placed orders for airbus many years in advance to use up Airbus' manufacturing capacity, preventing other competitors from buying their own planes anytime in the short term thus forcing them to lease aircrafts from the likes of AA.

Its a good opportunity to buy now, it will have to cover gap sooner or later. From now at 0.625 to cover the gap at 0.925, that's at least a 50% Return on Investment. And if the shorts keep shorting they might get caught with their pants down and have to close their position at a much higher price thus helping push the price further up.

Looking at charts for all banks, most of them are looking like they will have a correction soon. Its your money, you do some more research and decide.

BIMB's gross impaired financing (GIF), meaning the average % of customers that are unable to pay their loans, is very very high, from end of 2021 to end of 2022, that percentage jumped up to 32%, compared to other banks only with only 12%. Meaning 1/3 of their customers unable to pay their loans. So if recession come, BIMB is a gone case already. The only reason i see people continuing to support this counter is because the bank's name is related to one's religion.

The only saving grace for Mr.DIY now is to pray that a global recession hits and hits very hard that people's buying power are reduced so significantly that can only afford to shop Mr.DiY style dollar shops.

If anybody felt left out, you can try again when the bears try to push down the large green candle. around the middle of the green candle at 1.23 can enter and put stop loss at 1.14. With the trade volume of 30million last friday, the highest in MI's history, i'm pretty sure that is quite a solid bottom unless some economic crisis erupts

I think they have a fair idea because Bursa & SC officers found editable Microsoft Excel files along with various company stamps not belonging to SD (Petronas is one of those stamps). So just need to find out how much then we will know the real revenue they have been generating.

I would like to ask in this forum if anybody knows exactly or roughly how much of SD's annual revenue were falsely reported?

Because in 2021 they reported RM6Billion then in 2022 after it was exposed, they reported RM1.35Billion. There's a RM4.65Billion difference, and if I average it with past 5 years' revenue, it would be around RM3.22Billion, which is a RM1.87Billion difference.

Michael R.

Could be double accounting? Once audited all double and triple accounting at subsidiaries wont repeated at higher parent..

SD need to elaborate how come from 6bil now drop to hundreds on mil only...!!!

Judging from the way Mi pays dividends, I think it would be advisable to sell when opportunity arises. The owners are paying themselves handsomely when they should be reinvesting the money into growing the business just shows that they are comfortable with the status quo.

Company buys back shares have different priority compared to investors. If they were to let their share price slide to whatever bottom, it would look bad on them, so buying back the shares and maintaining the price provides assurances to investors that the company has confidence in their valuation.

I'm also hoping that Sabah & Sarawak will get at least 1 digital banking license as EM is really underserved. But if BNM is going all out just for potential profit, then the obvious choices would be the ones people are singing the loudest about (RHB-AXIATA, YTL-SEAGROUP, AEON Group, Razer). These fellas will only go for the techsavvy city dwellers and in the end the underserved will continue to be neglected.

I don't think many actually read the IPO prospectus for FFB. They clearly stated that about 80% of the IPO money will be used for paying off their existing debt. The balance 20% for building minor facilities that will come online in 18-24 months, then only will investors see their IPO returns. Their actions also imply that they have plans for another round of fund raising in the next 2 years, therefore the initial analyst price target of 1.50 for 2022 is quite realistic.
