just sold my 500k AAX shares, not due to rights issue, mainly due to recent 20% increase of oil price over the long weekend! Realized RM10k loss :P

It doesn't matter what price rights issue is set, cause it will be equally redistribute to no. of shares equal to RM400 mil. What's important is how much the exercise price of the free warrants, where the lower the better :)

So sad to see ppl don't know how to read. Just because it is bad for TM doesn't mean it is good for Gpacket, because TM is gonna use it cash stockpile to spend more on RM1.6 bil LTE rollout capex, at the same time diluting Gpacket in P1. TM dividends investors won't be happy with this capex coz will ultimately affect their dividend payouts. BTW, neither Gpacket or SKT does network rollout business, this sector belongs to Alcatel, ZTE, NSN, etc.

Though Gpacket may benefit by selling more LTE modems provided those TM cronies continue to buy from them.

tailwagsdog, there is not more inter-company loan ... all will be settled via this deal via the exercising of the IPCS in the 30% stake.

We all can basically summarise this deal to be worth only RM210 mil ... dont expect gpacket to repay TM back. After minus all debts and etc, maybe RM80 - RM100 mil cash left? So gpacket still has a bit to drop.

Vampire, you are right ... not only that, the planned RM1.6 bil capex will also dilute GP in P1 further. Guys who invest in gpacket long term pls don't wake up 1 morning and seeing P1 become a multi-billion telco but Gpacket is no longer a substantial owner.

Faster buy, next week will shoot up to RM1.40 and everyone can buy bungalows in sri hartamas and drive BWM X6 :P

Based on the cheap buying price it is very obvious that TM is not desperate at all the seal this deal, and because of this i think TM will just develop P1 half heartedly otherwise it would have kept Celcom.

I heard from a friend reason why CC Puan unloaded 100 mil shares of his is because he has the veto power to stop this deal, which deemed really bad. But CC Puan and OSK both have conflicting views regarding this deal. Since 1/3 of CC Puan's shares where previously pledged to OSK (due to the rights issues), OSK force-sold CC Puan shares a month ago. Well so now OSK is the controlling shareholder of Gpacket, OSK is a businessman, he rather get back something rather that keep his ego.

So very obvious OSK is behind this entire price manipulation, by releasing false rumors to the presses, and unload his shares at the same time. Even after 10% dropped yesterday, Gpacket market cap is still around RM320 mil now. If let's say 2014 profit is RM10 mil, that's 32x PE. You decide to sell or hold.

The BOD of Gpacket has made the right decision, it is either RM100 mil left or zero nothing. Though TM is an asshole!

Gpacket solutions + communications business only reported a modest rm2 mil profit in fy2013. Not even enough to cover the yearly interest of rm16 mil + rm10 mil rental. While P1 will take few years before turning a profit. I think gpacket could be worth rm100 mil in medium term.

moneysucker yes YTLP seems very safe, because not speculative, a true value stock. I have doubled up on it in fact. Yes CEO is indeed very smart, he is like a fellow engineer or something, not some corporate politician.

Minus cash, there are like maybe 5-7x PE ... relatively coming forwards their broadband division gonna jump in sales due to increase subscribers and start of 1Bestarinet. Looks at the market cap of Digi, barring any new spectrum, half of its market cap will go to YTLP. Besides, YTLP has other utility business to support the capex of LTE / broadband. So you get the bluechip security but the upside of mobile broadband :)

Buy im not happy because i sensed some manipulation from insider after CC Puan sold 100 mil shares. So acted on emotion i sold my 500,000 gpacket shares, even knowing a deal is brewing. Well looks like we all have been manipulated by gpacket, because i have been a 5-year long term investor, im pissed off for whatever reason to gpacket kena raped!

All those media and newspaper are partly responsible for publishing misleading false news. Most probably reporters taken bribes from syndicates already. Especially The Star, Malaysia Insider, etc. What happens to our corporate governance? SEC should fine these publishers!

Im here to help interpret the deal, im a bit surprised so many interpret it correctly. Yes, fully vested in mostly bluechips here. Getting out above 40 cents not so bad, as i foresee in medium term, gpacket will drop below 40 cents. I won't go in even if drops to 20 cents, because i only invest in stocks with long term prospects. Gpacket has no long term prospect at all. Short term i don't know because im not a technical trader.
