@Taka: Guest appearances by 'selected celebrities' in terms of timing is fairly predictable, what do you think?

abcb CFO resigned to show that this company may face worst accounting problem

If the CFO had resigned because of the below alleged credit challenges, it is a blessing in disguise to me as a minority stakeholder, for it shows his/her competency in managing this financial aspect of the Company....or he/she is simply a bean-counter?
Calvin, over 90 days is not a murderous issue especially if you are engaging in international business. Further, you may wish to go deeper into the notion of 'limitations act' in the countries where IFCA operates.
calvintaneng Word of Caution on IFCA
1) Last Quarter IFCA Got RM16 Millions in receivables
This Quarter Receivables Increased to RM29 Millions
What happened to the RM16 Million Past Receivables?
Already over 90 days?
Is this the reason why CFO Resigned?

Kenneth: Great effort. I can see that you had sought reference from the US GAAP. Certainly a legitimate question to pose at the upcoming AGM to assess the Management knowledge.
To complement your contribution, consider this which might explain the forex loss question mark that we have:

As you can see, I literally learn extensively from Youtube, unlike the proclaimed professionally trained accountants and auditors here. IAS21 in local context is MFRS121 :)

@elbrutus: no worries. It doesnt matter who I am and what I do in reality so long all of us share and learn from one another. One thing for sure: I am not Mark Mobius, nor some acclaimed auditors here who has insight into the financials of IFCA and able to predict the direction of its share price.

Kenneth: Great point that you had raised. i believe your suspicion on the strength of the sgd and rmb denominated transactions is evident if you refer to Note B14 of the Q1FY15 announcement, where the forex gain of 315k is disclosed as a determinant of the Company's profits. Based on the FY14 full year numbers, I think the foreign currency exposure % is approx. 20++%, the rest in ringgit and broadly speaking the over a mill forex loss is unlikely to be driven by debtors' balances.
Now the 2nd part: The significant forex loss of over a million. Frustrating, isn't it? Financial statements are meant to be reasonably understandable to dependent users but...Anyway, let's look at the 'other reserves' in the balance sheet as at 31.03.15..(why do those regulators want to call it the extended 'statement of financial position? aiyoo..) See the comparative increase of over a million? hmmm...I suspect the forex loss could be due to foreign currency translation difference derived when crunching the consolidated accounts. Mercy, what the heck is this? Let's throw out to the folks here, some of whom i believe are certified accountants and acclaimed insightful auditors who might be able to give us better 'technical accounting' insight...the mystery of the 'foreign currency translation reserve'? :)
Learnt and self-taught from youtube. Read at own risk, yeah?
Glad that you are not the former CFO. If really the former CFO, aiyoo...if shareholders ask you at AGM and cannot explain...aiyooo...how to manage stakeholders' expectations like that?
Take it easy.

Calvin: Maybe you like to revisit the parameters of cash and cash equivalents, which typically include mainly1) cash and bank balances which can be confirmed by a circilarisation to the bank or reviewing bank statement and 2) cash in hand can be attested by a physical count.
IOU is a primitive term and i believe it had embraced the term promissory note quite some time back. :)

I believe the CFO resignation is likely to be a situation of an unsuitable candidate fit, probably not able to keep pace with the strategic momentum of the Company.

As a business expands and explore new markets for growth, so is the pressure building up concurrently for a lead finance person and it might well be a situation of a lack of complementing skillset to move in tandem with the growth pace and manage increasing stakeholders' expectations. Business as usual though the CFO resigned. They come and go, maybe a better offer? who knows, right?
If we do not have a qualified opinion expressed by the external auditors on their financials, that indicates their reasonable credibility.
Going forward, China is expected to grow at a slower pace with some average 6% per annum. I thought the acquisition initiative is a reasonable move to increase the overseas market base to support revenue growth over time. Market penetration is always tough, be it China or anywhere else out there. Even the Chinese do not completely understand their own market, what goes to say for a foreigner to know it better?
Cheers.

syioksyiok: This is a subjective question depending on individual's risk appetite and overall conclusion about the Company's prospects. No right or wrong.
But if you put our friend's appearance trails against the observed price trends...and from an 'analytical' perspective....hmmm...but in any case, it's individual call on how to manage one's money, yeah?
Cheers, my friend.
