Calvin, is it possible that your Johor buddy is trying to get you to sell your IFCA holdings in an attempt to get it cheaper?
Anything is possible, right?

Mike, in all honesty they have never failed to entertain and add laughter at least for me here, and that's one real positive about them. :)

There is never a 'best' time to buy a counter in my opinion.

Indeed, Mike. We all manage our investments differently and I respect that. All here to better our lives so take it easy. Occasionally we have abrupt 'ghost stories' from selected 'tellers' but at the end of the day it's individual money and decision. Good luck. :)
mike3329 @Ozzie...each investor has his or her own strategy that works for them. I have sold, not because of lack of confidence in IFCA but just that I believe in entering and exiting based on my own targets...and will definitely 're-invest' when I feel the price and time is right! Good luck..:-)

Welcome back, Calvin.
The GST factor had been assimilated in IFCA's share price quite some time back and it has since embarked on its next strategic roadmap in case you are not aware. You are right in a sense that the GST theme play is at its tail end but I think you missed out what's after the end of the tail. :)

Bombing Yemen is not going to make Sumatec go up. Oil prices would continue to be volatile through this year.

@orionpacific: Indeed, I do share the same sentiment that we have not seen nor there are indications that the biz model has been or is going to be compromised in the reasonable future.
Perhaps people don't see things that we could have or had seen.
Hope no one had been 'stung badly' in what I describe as an attempt to 'intrude the bee farm for some free honey' without a 'paid-entry permit'.
Have a safe trip, Sir. :)

It is as simple as that. And you could sleep better thereafter.

@donlee27: The institutional investor part is questionable. Good to have, but from the analysts' 'lukewarm' response and recollecting that in particular when the Company was about to exit PN17...well let's leave it to the participants to ponder. :)
Got my friend to send me this from across the Causeway. Not sure if you can view it but I find the 'green' wordings under the Technical Events section interesting (by Thomson Reuters):

If you consider the forces of demand and supply which are primarily the determinants of price, it would be reasonable to assume that profit taking translate into selling pressure and that probably explain the drop in price (demand constant + supply increase >> price down)
Assignment? If it is choosing a share to buy, I think you might wish to consider analysing the financials for fundamental evaluation. Enjoy your assignment...last pointer...objective and free market isn't exactly relevant in this part of the world :)

im actually having an assignment about choosing share to buy and analyse the share price, so , i just bought it recently at 1.65, and it keep dropping. That is why i wanted to know the reasons.

What else do you want to know as this forum is informative, don't you think?
i seriously need someone who can explain to me about this share issue, like where to get the information about the drop and raise of the share price, thanks to who willing to help.

Dbix is a Sdn Bhd.
I came across this lead when trying to gather more information on the new management team. Let's not go way beyond, but it does support the profile of Jeff Chong as a seasoned Telco veteran with reasonable experience in the industry. :)
