My comments: They are appointed as non-executive directors, most likely acting as advisers without authority to execute any final decision on behalf of Sapura Energy, MHB or Petronas Furthermore, they are ex-staff of MHB and Petronas. They left MHB and Petronas for reasons I do not know and also do not wish to know
By the way, most likely, the non-executive directors are compensated for their time through fees, equity and cash payments

MHB is an illiquid stock and can be manipulated via technical analysis too appear as bear stock. Big Speculators trying to frighten retailers to sell the shares at depressed price.
As a Position Trader, recommend to HOLD onto your MHB share and ACCUMULATE MORE if you have extra cash.
Expect big harvest 6 months down the road

Technical analysis still works in weak market provided there is sufficient trading volume/liquidity
Do not apply technical analysis in illiquid or low trading volume stocks/markets. It is not reliable in this instant

As for MHB, the trading volume is low and illiquid. Technical analysis for MHB not so reliable. Need to apply fundamental analysis for this stock

Fundamentally, MHB is bullish. Reasons:
1. MHB had 5 continues quarters of rising profit reported
2. MHB orderbook as of 1Q23 stands at MYR7.2bn, a record high
3. Kasawari project, 79.8% completed, Jerun project 57.1% completed. Expect big profit to be realized next quarter as these projects are normally back-loaded

The target price is 75 sen follow by 88 sen

Weaknesses in MHB share price is indicating the merger with SAP is becoming reality soon?. Chart showing the next support is 0.44.

You must be joking. 😄
No matter how you flip the financial position of both companies, there is no possibility of MHB merging with Sapura.
The right strategy for position trading is to buy around 50 sen and hold it for 6 months to enjoy big capital gains

I am of the opinion that we will enter a recession phase soon but the good news is I believe that it will be a V type of recovery as the Federal Reserve has been very proactive and made this bold move to stamp out inflation quickly. The aggressive rate will no doubt hurt many business and man on the street but it is the best way to ensure that we crimp out all the excesses and tackle the issue quickly.

Stock markets tend to be forward looking and discount most events 6 months in advance. So if one believes that we will get a V recovery, the current weakness and perhaps a bit more weakness in the weeks and months ahead may serve as a good buying opportunity. For now asset allocation and risk management are the keys for survival in these uncertain times

My comment:
Accumulation now should be for wealthy Investors who have millions or billions to invest
But for retailer investors, this is not a best time to collect. Stay out of the market and save your bullets for cheaper price down the road.

Long-term, it is still moving South
Short-term, it is due for a relief rebound as it is highly oversold
For punters who want to make some quite small profit, it is the right time to buy. But need to exit fast when the rebound is over. At what price, needs to depend on market sentiment

My observation based on technical charting
Hengyuan is a typical "Pump & Dump" stock
Insiders knew they were making great profit for the 1st quarter
They started their collection in April 2022 around RM4.00 and pump it up to RM7.50 before unloading to retailers 1 month before the 1 Quarter announcement

My comment:
You don't have to be in the market all the time
Standing aside is also a trading strategy
Position your money in Fixed Deposit or Money Market is also a trading strategy...
unless you are an Intraday player or day trader

In the Expanding stage (Bull Market) stocks move higher Highs and higher Lows ( rising in a zig zag manner)
Similarly, in the Declining stage (Bear Market) stocks move lower Highs and lower Lows ( declining in a zig zag manner)

To make good easy money, one needs to position and buy early of the Expanding stage.
The Basing stage is where big money buys and wait patiently for the Expanding stage.

Generally there are four stages in a market cycle (economy cycle)
1. Basing stage - economy has bottom and flats
2. Expanding stage - economy rising and everybody is partying
3. Toping stage - economy has peaked
4. Declining stage - economy decline and everybody is praying for a miracle

Out of these 4 stages, the Expanding stage is where you make good money
The Basing and Toping stages - you hardly make money
The Declining stage is where 90% of the players got washed out. (Unless you knows how to short the market)

For your information: In a Bull Market, 'low tide to high tide' even rubbish will also rise
In a Bear Market, 'high tide to low tide' good ships will also sink

Agree - Bursa sometime decoupe from US market but won't last, eventually Bursa will gets inline with US market
When Big brother sneezes, Bursa will also catches the cold. Malaysia is a net exporter and depends on the world economy to survive
