but dividend only 4 sen = RM7.7m

when are these monkeys going to start paying decent dividends?

Only the very worst companies do not pay a dividend after keeping shareholders waiting for 1 year.

It's especially important for cos with fundamentals but share price not performing like Petron - it has fundamentals, enough cash but trades at single digit PE.

So the bottom line is that the Board has delivered capital losses & no dividends. It's bullying minority shareholders.

Maybe they want to drive the share price down & then buy it for a song.

Mabel - I understand that Bursa/SC lifted short-selling on the first trading day of 2021 hence Harta got whacked by shorters.

Looks like no dividends because in the past whenever 4th quarter results are announced, the dividends are indicated but this time none.

At 12.27pm, short sellers = 806k shares

Director Kuan bought 180k shares @ 12.92 & 90k shares @ 12.57 on 13th & 14th Jan respectively.

EPF seems to be happily scooping up shares

Pet Dag trades at 50.4 PE but our PE is in -ve territory due to poor 1st 2 quarters.

However, our low gearing, healthy cash balance & a massive reserve of RM1.56b is more than enough to pay good dividends to keep shh happy. 20 sen = 54m; 30 sen = 81m ... small potatoes for this co

So tell me fellow investors, after all the detailed & apparently intelligent analysis - What will the last quarter results show? Come convert those long reports to numbers

As cars become more efficient or go electric, sales volume will drop. But because PetDag is in the same retail petrol business, I believe the Govt will allow higher margins to make up for the shortfall in quantities consumed.

Unless management takes into consideration the energy consumption trends & downsize accordingly to reduce expenses to below revenue, I don't see much optimism in this co.

For the Tunku who sits on the board, it's a win-win deal. She only holds 1000 shares of BK but her father holds 337,500 KLK shares (per 2018 Annual Report).

To pay cash for CCM, KLK has to declare a massive dividend & her family will be laughing all the way to the bank.

So guys, due to this bailout, don't expect a generous dividend at BK level .

Downside risk we bear but any windfall, others get the benefit.

What's the difference between Petron & PetDag?

They both have a network of petrol stations and supply gas tanks. Petron has a refinery which PetDag doesn't.

Amazingly though Petron trades at a PE of 6 while PetDag at a PE of 53+!! Maybe because PetDag has EPF as it's main investor.
