I would prefer not to have DRP. Just look at Maybank, its eps has remained stagnant for over 10 years due to DRP issues.

Maybank's total earnings this year is forecast to reach RM9.734 billion or 78 sen a share. Applying a PE of 13, it should be worth RM10.14 a share.

Hopefully RHB Bank' share price would move out of this narrow trading band once its first quarter financial results are released later this month. Its earnings should be comparable to the final quarter of last year rather than the first quarter.

MR mana ada CB?

I haven't been monitoring Hap Seng for several years now and thought it was still trading at above RM8 a share until a few days ago. Surprised to find out that it has already dropped to below RM4.50 a share. Would monitor its price movement for a few months before making a decision whether to invest in this counter.

Judging from Genting's performance in the past two+ weeks, one can conclude that it has not done well in the first quarter.

RHB Bank's share price has been stuck within a narrow band of RM5.45 to RM5.55 for the past one month. It is getting very boring. Big investors have been accumulating the counter.

The big boys only need a couple of hundred million to push TG to RM1.50 and certainly well less than one billion to push it to RM2. They have the resources. I just sit back and watch.

It is a well diversified company. Average eps for the past 10 years was 39 sen and average dividend per share was around 30 sen. It won't collapse.

RHB Bank pays dividends twice a year. Final dividend is generally paid in mid June but this year investors got their final dividend one month earlier. Interim dividend is generally paid in early November.

A friend recommended Hap Seng to me about 9 to 10 years ago. I remember it was trading at around rm2 then but I took no action. Soon it began to move up and up and up almost non stop for several years until it reached about RM8, then I stopped watching this counter. Toooo frustrated.

RM4.30 is about the right price. eps is about 38 sen last year. Better to invest in banks. RHB Bank earned 64.6 sen last year and paid 40 sen dividends in total.

Maybank's total profit has improved over the past 10 years but its eps has stagnated due to increases in its total issued capital. Its eps was 65,08 sen in 2011, 75.79 sen in 2013, 72.04 sen in 2015, 73.45 sen in 2019, 69.66 sen in 2021 and 68.8 sen last year. Its paid up capital was RM7.5 billion in 2011, increasing to RM12 billion today.

From a low of RM8.82 to a high of RM9.78, rising almost non stop. Time to take a breath.

I certainly won't go to such an extent to work out how much I make from my investments in Maybank for the past three years to the nearest sen and my annual % return to two decimal places.

If you want the chance to collect Genting at fire sale price, you must pray hard for PN to score landslide victories in Selangor, N. Sembilan and Penang.

Lost plenty of money in 2020 and 2021. Very inconsistent earnings for the past 10 years. Don't think I would ever invest in such kind of counter. Surprisingly, it could still command such a high price.

I am happy with the amount of dividends Maybank is paying every year, which translates into a yield of over 6.6%. Anything more is a bonus.

Becoming active again but no price break through. Same old same old but hope I am wrong this time.

Even the Ringgit has been performing badly. Now US$1 = RM4.52, Sing$1 = RM3.37. So demoralising.

Wow! Trading at a PE of 30 and a dividend yield of 1%. I wonder how it could be accorded such a high valuation. Why not buy RHB Bank, another fellow GLC which trades at a PE of 8.5 and a dividend yield of over 7%.

If you want to have a return of 10% or more then you must trade this counter. Buy on weakness. Those who had bought Maybank when it dipped below RM8.30 would have a gross gain of over 5% by now. I would certainly sell some when it goes above RM9.

Whoever has the numbers please pass them to me. I want to get it rich this weekend.

There must be reasons for its sudden surge and high trading volumes today. Could it be due to huge spike in earnings? Receipt of ICPT payments from government? Tariff increases?

RHB Bank is now trading at a PE of 8.5 and a dividend yield of 7.3%.

Except for an anomaly two days ago, Tenaga has been a star performer on Bursa for the last two weeks. Those who bought at under RM8.90 last week are now laughing to the banks.

Considering that its earnings for the last two years was almost 65 sen a share and dividend per share was 40 sen, it should have fared much better.

Surprisingly, RHB's share price hasn't been doing well for the past one year.

I make investments based on a company's fundamentals, not on beautiful charts. Bankrupt companies also can have good charts.

It was trading at above RM5.70 at the beginning of the year. Easily the worst performing bank counter this year.

Tenaga dipped to RM7.89 a share in October last year and went up to RM10 in mid February. I don't think many bought at below RM8 due to fear of recession, high coal and natural gas prices then and rising interest rates. Just to let you guys know, Tenaga's total borrowings today exceed RM60 billion.

RM5.50? Pray hard for another much severe pandemic to strike.
