Lat year's final dividend was 33 sen per share. It is unlikely to go up to 54 sen per share this year unless the profit jumps.

Buy and sell among the same group of people.
2016-01-14 16:59 | Report Abuse
Just buy some after a 20 to 30 sen drop. Downtrend would surely stop one day.

Just wait for another few years, I believe CIMB would be trading at above RM 8 again, like it used to 5 years ago. So don't get panicked and start selling your holdings at this level, only to pick up later at much higher prices.

Invest more in FGV then if you think it can maintain its dividend payout while still making losses.
2016-01-12 20:26 | Report Abuse
Company has been losing money over the past one year. Unlikely that dividend could be maintained if loss continues.
2016-01-12 20:19 | Report Abuse
Even if CIMB goes up to RM 5.50 in three years time, that still means a return of over 10% a year, including dividend, much much better than keeping your money in the bank.

Largest share holder EPF is selling.
2016-01-11 20:39 | Report Abuse
The more it drops, the stronger would be its rebound during a market recovery. Its price was below RM 1 in 1998. It had declared 1/1 bonus twice since then. Its recent high was above RM 9 several years ago.

MUFJ still selling aggressively while EPF also sells this counter most of the time.

Lowest in over 6 years, not 52 weeks.

Asset revaluation? Worth at least RM 20 a share.

Should fully recover in 3 to 4 years. Holding power is very important. Buy some after it drops by over 5%.

Still a long way from its peak achieved in late 2013.

Based on the Dow futures, the Dow will likely drop over 400 points tonight. Another disastrous day tomorrow except for Maybank perhaps.
2016-01-05 10:41 | Report Abuse
Three months to announcement of final dividend, should be more than 30 sen per share, as usual.
2016-01-01 21:54 | Report Abuse
ASB probably received more than 80 million new Maybank shares in the latest DRP. It has to dispose of some of its Maybank shares to raise cash to pay its unit holders.

Very high chance of a year end rally. Would sell all if it reaches RM 2.00 again.
2015-12-16 15:40 | Report Abuse
Probability of a year end rally is quite high this year.

When the directors wish to privatise this company, they will offer small shareholders the prevailing market price plus a small premium irrespective of whether the company is worth RM 20 a share. If they can gather more than 90% support from shareholders, the deal would be through.

FGV only made 0.4 sen in the first nine months. Dividend paid out from reserve is not sustainable.
2015-12-08 12:24 | Report Abuse
I believe the company directors only control about a third of Facbind's equity. A corporate raider attempting to gain control of the company may not succeed but surely will gain financially.

Very thinly traded counter. I think traders are buying and selling among themselves. So Keck Seng's price seems quite artificial.
2015-12-07 17:09 | Report Abuse
Frankly, Keck Seng's earnings was not the major factor why I bought its shares. I bought Keck Seng because of its assets especially land, many of which have not been revalued for over 30 years.

Do you think TA can go up to RM 1.00 within the next three years? If you think it can, then it is a good buy at 61 sen a share.
2015-12-06 14:52 | Report Abuse
Can anyone make a forecast on CIMB's share price three years from today?
2015-12-06 12:55 | Report Abuse
At only 40 sen a share, how much more can it fall? Earnings should improve in the second half of the year when new schemes are launched.
2015-12-06 12:39 | Report Abuse
High potential to go up further in the coming weeks. The downtrend of Keck Seng has been far too long.
2015-12-03 20:25 | Report Abuse
Not likely to fall below 45 sen again. First 9 months earnings already almost 5 sen per share.
2015-12-03 16:47 | Report Abuse
Some institutions are selling, some are lending support, so the share price see-saws.
2015-12-03 16:17 | Report Abuse
Should use part of the money to buy 10 million Maybank shares. Should quicken the pace of share buy-back.
2015-12-03 10:44 | Report Abuse
After dropping by more than 50% since 2011 and still no sign of it going up. Really bad.
2015-12-02 17:13 | Report Abuse
Should move above 50 sen again tomorrow. With 10,000 shares, a three sen gain should be enough.
2015-12-02 17:07 | Report Abuse
Up and down, up and down, good counter for traders rather than investors.
2015-12-02 17:04 | Report Abuse
Still a very long way to go to reach the level achieved about two years ago.
2015-11-30 11:04 | Report Abuse
Probably the deal would just go through without any revision to the price. That would be bad for the company.
2015-11-30 10:29 | Report Abuse
Drifting toward 1.70, not a good sign. Hope it doesn't dip below 1.70

Use someone's recommendation as a guide only. The decision to buy or not to buy is made by you, not by others.

Downtrend now but uptrend again later. Much better than counters which don't move at all. Pick up slowly as its price comes down and dispose of slowly as it moves up again.

This is even before revaluing all its assets like its plantation and housing land, menara Keck Seng and Regency Tower etc.
2015-11-27 19:43 | Report Abuse
The reported foreign exchange gain was RM 91.6 million and the gain from divestment of shares RM 51.5 million. These two items already contribute 75% of Keck Seng's net profit during the first nine months of its financial year. The company actually can afford to make a bonus issue of at least 4 for 1 just based on its balance sheet.

While some small investors might be a bit edgy about MNRB's latest performance and disposed of their shares, others were happily picking them up.

Collect when it comes down to around 1.60

Institutional selling hasn't stopped. Price can't go up with such kind of selling.

I think the worst is likely over for CIMB. Financial results have improved further this quarter over the previous quarter. Hopefully the improved performance is reflected in CIMB's share price.

The dividend yield of a listed company is the amount of dividend the company pays during a financial year divided by its share price. If Maybank pays RM560 of dividend for its financial year ending 31/12/2015 and its share price is RM 8, its dividend yield will be 7, meaning your investment gives you a return of 7%.
2015-11-20 20:33 | Report Abuse
With net earnings per share expected to be not less than 70 sen for this year, just like over the past several years and a dividend of around 55 sen per share for the year, Maybank is trading at a PE of under 12 and a dividend yield of over 6%. Maybank is definitely trading at bargain price.
2015-11-20 20:11 | Report Abuse
If the earnings per share is maintained at not much less than 18 sen, there is a high possibility that MNRB's price would move up quite substantially.

Good_News, you should do some research on your own instead of posing such a question to me. Compare IOI and TSH's yield per hectare with that of FGV, whose yields are higher?. IOI reported losses because a substantial portion of its debt is in US dollars. TSH case could be similar. EPF and Kumpulan Wang Persaraan had been selling FGV shares for more than a year. I wonder if they are still selling because they are not substantial share holders of FGV now and do not need to report to Bursa of their disposals. Now it is Lembaga Tabung Haji's turn to sell. You must be new to the stock market. Our stock market is irrational. Some companies trade at low PE ratios of under 10, some at over 30 to 40.

Market should be up strongly during the next few trading days. ECB will likely pump in more money and US rate hike may have to be stopped due to the economic turmoil.
