Chung, this comment is nonsense: "Order received from overseas can't delivered may sue and cause company involved in court case." there will be a Force Majeure clause in any contract with a buyer. You clearly do not know what that is, so perhaps you need to go and look it up, then maybe you will learn something today. From the rest of your comments (such as customer churn due to non performance), I think you are a very inexperienced pseudo business person if you think that long term relationships between buyers and sellers are so fickle as to see them terminated due to such an unfortunate event as this. Customers stick by their suppliers during trying times like these and work together to formulate solutions. There will be existing stocks in the supply chain and subcontracted production can prove a valuable workaround, as can the setting up of temporary operations, utilisation of spare capacity and even formation of a strategic alliance to tide over. , Frankly, any upstream or downstream supply chain partner who does abandon Notion now, will do themselves no favours as they will be known throughout the trade as a bad company who abandon their business partners at the drop of a hat. The commercial issues can be solved short term, the long term prospects for this company are another matter, but your diatribe above warrants some factual corrections and you sir, need to learn about how business really works .

Probably sideways a while now, in the absence of any further news. IMO it's highly dangerous to assume insurance will cover all losses. That is the "best case scenario" now and with all news out, look where the price has settled (largely inline with the Kenanga Research downgrade estimate).

Be Careful. Insurers always look to minimise their exposure. The Loss Adjuster may be working with the company as stated, but the objectives are different. Insurers want to see what they can avoid paying for, or mitigate their cost, as opposed to the company, who'd like to maximise compensation paid under the policy. If there are any non-compliance issues picked up that were critical to the cover, then the claim could be compromised and the pay-out reduced. One always needs to be careful when insurance claims come into play, because at the moment, the company have declared that they have adequate cover in place for damage and consequential losses, but it is too early to tell what will be covered under the policy and the Insurers have not yet come out to confirm that the claim will be humoured. Just a head's up that's all.

Public service announcement. I have written about this sham company before. It really is a hopeless and hapless case this (read up on the history if you're still intent in investing any money (sorry burning your money) here). I spoke personally to one of the directors many months ago and I wouldn't trust him to run a bath for me. Said waste of space has subsequently left what was a gravy train to him, presumably to go and offer his corporate bankruptcy services somewhere else. This is a cornered stock with v little free float so the only time it goes up, is when the major shareholders pump it a bit so they can extract money from naïve retailers like an atm. This company is going down, will continue down, delist and then bankrupt but before they do, they will try and con as much money from ordinary retailers as possible by spiking the price from time to time. Read the charts or if you don't know how, find someone who does. Better still, just avoid.

that last comment is a surefire sign that the stock will be pumped prior to a bad QR release. Run well beforehand we can see who the pumpers are now in the groups, the usual suspects....BEWARE!!!

haha if Malakof CEO appointed what a superb choice. This is the guy that has overseen the market cap of the company under his watch decline by nearly 40% during his tenure. Sounds like a perfect choice for FGV. Bit like football managers really. Appointed at a club, do a crap job and get relegated, get appointed at another club. There is no price to be paid for failure here, just move on to another fat cat salary package and poleaxe the next company .

apprentice you are right....to a degree. But the Non-Executive Board's main role is to challenge the thinking of and hold to account the Executive Board. As such, they are ot there to set the policy of how the business is run, they are there to approve the policies and strategies that the CEO and other Executive Board members put forward. The Chairman should head up the Non-Executive members of the Board and the Executive Management team (headed up by the CEO (or MD)) and the other day to day CSuite management team are (or should be) independent of the Non-Execs and as you point out, they manage the daily running of the company. One other important point is that the Non-Executive Board members are there to represent the shareholders and to ensure that at all times, the Management Team (or Executive Board Members) remain committed to the primary objective of maximising shareholder value.

Explode......you will with that calculation! C26 needs to be at or above 1.73 (the OTM price) 5 days average prior to expiry or you get nothing. Try looking here and as a basic piece of advice, don't dabble in Callable Warrants if you don't have the first idea how to calculate the moneyness: https://www.malaysiawarrants.com.my/tools?sp=dwcalculator&ric=DRBM_ta.KL

Just look for all those people here who commented that it would limit up, realise they are con merchants and make a note of the semantics they use, so that the next time they come here (or anywhere else) telling lies to try and con people under the cover of anonymity, you will know to what to do. Personally I just ignore anyone who posts a comment and then can't back it up.

It's a clever (some would say cynical) move not to have a fully binding and irrevocable agreement in place yet. What they have is a 'so-called' "binding" Head's of Agreement. I can't see that this has been picked up by anyone yet, but it is still subject to the necessary regulatory approvals and that must mean both in Malaysia and in China. In other words, there are still get out clauses built into the deal, should Geely find anything untoward in either their on-going due diligence or indeed the contractual terms in the final draft contract. Moreover, although Geely is technically a private company, the Chinese authorities will still hold sway and could have the final say in all of this, so there is a not insignificant political game still to play out (look what happened recently with the IWH so called done deal!). I think in the end, this Heads of Agreement is merely a fudge because they had to come up with something after the crunch meetings a week ago. There could be many delays now between now and the deal finally being ratified, all of which gives time to play this stock up and down and raise lot's more cash through the issuance of more CW's et al instruments. Add to the mix that the next QR is unlikely to be good and what you get is big institutions making big profits and ikan bilis getting made into sambal!

It's clear LTH operator want to take as much profit out as possible and then buy low. So will continue to sell slowly now for next few days/weeks until they can accumulate low again.
All warrants are now being culled as a result.

Indeed the price which shows in white as being on a par with yesterday's close is in fact 0.71 (with a cp at time of writing of 0.73). This means that the entire exercise is an utter con job when one considers that the value of the exercise now is (0.71 x 2) + 0.30 = 1.72 a decline of some 6% on yesterdays closing price.

2nd point is that this whole scheme looks to me to be a complete con job. How can the Warrant be "free" if it is included in the price adjustment made. Effectively, all they have done, is carved up the share into three parts, 2 mother shares and 1 warrant, and made a downward price adjustment accordingly.

Stock

2017-05-16 13:00 | Report Abuse

ruslimz fyki that works only if a) the Warrant is valued at 0.41 but it is not. It is fixed at 0.30 which means an effective fall in the share price today from 1.83 (yesterday's close) to 1.76 at cp 0f 0.73.
