Serba could potentially be a subject of takeover by sarawak govt. a nice fit for PETROS

I think in away its good there is now a more transparent public platform (the Court) for investors to hear for themselves what really is going on. Whether Serba’s Management is right or wrong, its for the investors to decide. To me, there is now a public platform where both parties can present their case. As it is now, there is lack of transparency that fuels too much speculation. The current share price does not reflect what’s really going on. With more facts, the share price will better reflect the risk premium

IJM’s equity exposure in enlarged KLK is better than equity in IJM Plantation. No brainer. IJM Corp shareholders will be the biggest winner. Those KLK shares owned by IJM can even be distributed to its shareholders.

IJM Corp shld opt for a share swap. Holding KLK shares wld be good in the long term. Expect greater liquidity in KLK shares through bonus or DRS. IJM could also distribute KLK shares to IJM shareholders.

Alternatively, distribute KLK shares if its an equity swap

rWhy are the independent directors silent? What is EPF, KWAP & Sarawak agency which collectively holds about 25% of the company doing? Does EPF & KWAP has Board representatives on Serba. I’m sure EPF must have a board representative!!! Are they keeping to themselves whether to dump or collect more Serba shares for themselves on Monday at the expense of mainstreet investors?

The golden rush is owing to the 50% dividend payout policy & discounted DRS. Its a no brainer until the yield dipped to around 3-4%. As they are now, the projected dividend yield is still around 10%.

With 50% dividend policy, assuming sustained profits over subsequent Qtrs, RM500 mil to RM600 mill payout is not unreasonable. At current prices, div yield can reach 10% or even more. No brainer for institutional funds not to grab LCT shares until at least 4% div yield or even less if interest rates remain subdued/low.

Now that the projection has materialises, from now on its all upward trajectory in share prices with intermittent swings, at least for the next two qtrs. That should gives at least 35 sen dividend for the year or discounted DRS. At current prices, that’s almost 10% dividend yield alone.

For too long as global investors embrace sustainable investing, domestic investors ignored ESG consideration. Cant blame coz lack of awareness & education. As foreign investors dump these unsustainable stocks, Malaysian investors left holding onto these “stranded” assets. Top Glove. SDP, FGV, IOI others, all bear the brunt of ESG risks which was not priced-in by domestic investors, the likes of EPF included. Get acquainted with sustainable investment, QUICKLY guys!!!!

Malaysians GLCs are all helmed by a bunch of recycled CEOs with track record of destroying value. They moved from 1 GLC to another with their “kitchen sink” strategy every time, in order to make themselves look good but unsustainable in the long run. Malaysians should band together to rid GLCs of these useless CEOs.

Serba have s serious governance issue. They deploy "taukey" strategy to run the business & plan thier expansion haphazardly to the detrimemt of minority shareholder interest. The taukey continue to dilute shareholders shareholdibgs by bringing in "crony" shareholders at attractive prices leaving small shareholders to eat shit. Serba to me miserably fail the ESG test.

Why does LCT share price defy investors pessismitic sentiment? The answer lies in the fundamental evaluation notably in computing the sustainable earnings. For one, LCT is not making a loss. For 2 consecutive qtrs now, LCT hv posted net profits (averaging RM80 mil) but however below investors expectation. Quarter 4 are expected to post net profit but an a sligtly larger amount than Q2 & Q3. At the same time, it has cumulative cash position of RM4 billion or abt RM1.70 per share as the base with little risk of it burning the cash because LCT is profitable operationally on its own. A sustainable earnings of lets say RM100 mil every qtr wld translate to annualised EPS of 17 sen. Applying a PE of gives you an intrinsic price of RM1.70. So plus the cash per share, RM3.40 being the intrinsic value is not a suprise for as long as LCT sustains its profitability and as conditions continue to improve as exhibited by its results and expected results. So not surprising the resilience of LCT share price at current levels.

titan3322 A respectable performance which could potentially sustained over the next few quarters. A conservative PE of 10 (well below PetChem) wld give a price target of RM4.

This whole thing has been badly mismanaged and is getting out of hand. Its now impacting investors confidence with potential systemic implication to the market if this is not handled well. The behaviour of all the parties Serba, KPMG, Bursa, SC, the news media etc are creating disorder and has increased the level of volatility in the market. I have never seen this mess badly handled and mismanaged. Just like the mismanagement of Covid-19 and the economy, this crisis is now spreading into markets. Apa nak jadi Malaysia…
