UP shd be appointed as Plantation Advisers, in d past they hv been offering this services but now I am not sure. I belief they may becoz its a income. Emir shd be approaching if he is serious in increasing yield. Who ever comes as advisers mgrs must be comitted n spend 8 hrs in d field, lazy clowns have no place in estates, shd be total committment.

My past experience:I was working in Bahau for an estate of 2200 ha planted wt oil palm 1970-1975 under an expatriate mgr (whiteman an Australian). Later compny changed hands, mgr left hence managed by local mgrs. Yield from 25mt dropped below 20 mt, m'ment came to a conclusion that d red soil not suitable for oil palm was planning to sell d estate...so u got d message...this is not talking bad....sending message across d board to penetrate "skulls".

No! I never speak bad about fgv just highlighting d facts hoping PM read my article but d chances r one a million hence r articel may go unnoticed. All I want PM to tell d CEO to get similar yield as UP/Klk/IOI if cant sack them. PM cant be looking at everything so his advisers shd guide him or keep him posted. My request is simple either u improve d yield if cant then can lead to dire consequnces.All i can see is, to cover d poor yield looking for more plantation in Indon... to cover d loss in Peninsular plantations, seems joke to me. 600,000 hv in peninsular if yield can improve from 20 mt to 25 mt, calculate for yourself d profit....share price will skyrocket...!!!!!!!!

Permit me to narrate my experience wt d orang putih mgrs during d 60s', when i was working under them.The white mgrs use shots not long pants which u see now becoz u r not suppose to show d knees! Those day mgrs use shots becoz easy to walk in d field n also to jump across small streams or drains for thorough supervision. I being shorter then him, once while jumping, i dropped into d stream. Whiteman pulled me out by my collar.Nowadays using longs n also shy from field s'vision, how d industry going to survive! Also a lot of dress code issues going on now @ govt depts. That hardworking "china man" may find comfotable wt shots to do his business bt apparently got some work in d Govt office, do we expect him to go to his house, to do some changing, may affect his productivity??? Hence less revenue, give a wise thought lah, pls dont spoil d nation!

Sime u hv completed yr replanting in Peninsular, may I know what is yr yield now! I know b4 replanting it was 20mt, now u must be getting at least 25mt, anyway d idea to merge all GLCs' to reduce overhead n to improve yield n promised 50cts dividend, so please talk in d media, i want to read...tks.

SHAH ALAM: Selangor Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali has written a letter to Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin saying that issues concerning the restructuring of the state’s water industry can be resolved immediately.
Azmin said the restructuring process was now in the final stage and that he hoped that it could be finalised before Aidilfitri.
“Yesterday, I managed to meet the DPM, who is also the chairman of the special cabinet committee on Selangor Water Issues, and discussed several issues concerning the restructuring of the water industry and I’m happy that the issues were resolved.
“Today, I have written a letter to the DPM as a follow up to ensure one or two other issues can also be resolved immediately because I really hope that the restructuring process can be finalised before Hari Raya,” he told reporters here today.

JAKARTA: Malaysian palm oil finished in positive territory on Wednesday, tracking other vegetable oils higher after a bullish overnight US agriculture department report but with traders remaining cautious after Greece's debt default.

The September palm oil contract on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives exchange extended earlier gains to close 1.8% higher at RM2,268 a tonne after trading in a range of RM2,234-2,268.

MIDF Research has maintained its short-term 2015 year-end FBM KLCI target of 1,900 points udner review for possible adjustment.

In a strategy report today, the research house said the market was still absorbing the impact of liquidity and political issues.
