Yes. There might be a right issue. But would TF do it knowing the conditions are not right now? We got the domestic market that would open up very soon. Vaccine progression going fast. Won't he wait until investors are confident before calling for one? Afterall, he would have to pledge to subscribe as well. Epf and funds are all watching.
So at what price would it be when he announce and at what discount attractive enough?
MAS have been draining money for decades. They might be rescued this year by using our money again but trust me, they will still be draining money for the next 3 years. At what point will the government decides its enough? We all know the politicians are just keeping their people happy until they leave office. Its a time bomb that will explode again.
All airlines are facing debts. Even the mighty SIA. Its what they do during this crisis that matters. Sell peanuts, flights to nowhere, 1k airline food are all stop gap short term measures.
AA concentrated on the future. SuperApp, cloud technology, digitalisation, online banking, cargo partnerships which all points to the future of aviation. What did MAS do? Nothing.
Investors look at prospects. Not dwell on what has happened. At 0.75. This share is cheap if you willing to hold until the crisis is over and the investments start to pay off.
So far, ive not seen analyst willing to go into these aspects of AA now. All stil focused on covid, which will soon be a thing of the past

@fishchu construction sector will take slighty longer to recover as there will be increased cost in foreign labour and compliance. Market sentiments won't pick up too fast as well. There will be alot of changes next year. Property developers and construction still unsure how to split the bill.

@DestinyL the revenue from gaming has a corresponding expenditure that is tied to a ratio that determines the profit.
The higher the revenue, the higher the payout. You can check for the ratio with anyone who holds such a license or does audit for them.
That said, a high revenue will always be good but not necessarily the main profit driver for Genting Bhd.

Let me add to the bigger picture of these YouTube geniuses asking you to like and subscribe.
Why will AA park a fintech microlending subsidiary in a holding company that desperately needs cash now?
To lend then borrow? Or borrow to lend?
Pretty sure not in the distant future, AA will suddenly appear on some Grand sifu must buy counter and all the grand students and greatgrand students will scurry around.

@destinyL Apologies if I overstated. But does this appy to Genting Bhd as much as it applies to GenM? Happy to discuss.

The real income doesn't come from gambling income. If it is, genting singapore will be dead. As long as none of the retailers leave, my money stays.

If he isnt enriching himself, I'll be afraid. He does hold ALOT of AA shares himself.
And what public funds? Any links that AA supported by public funds?
As long as firefly remains a subsidiary, they won't survive long.

The most important aspect for the app is the health. Look at the partner involved to get digital certification to travel which will be crucial next year. Pcr test. Covid 19 travel insurance. And evevtually proof of vaccination.
Do you see any other airline providing you a one stop shop ready for the new travel rules next year?

The reason why AA isn't soaring is because big funds can't enter. Not because they don't want to. Ask someone with financial regulatory rule knowledge.

Do people actually know the impact? Just look at what alipay did to china.

So AA recover faster?

AA exposure is more on domestic air routes and airasia thailand, Airasia Philippines and india and CHINA. AAX is mostly international.
Besides, AA is now not just about air travel but digital and cargo.
If want to spread fear so that can buy low.. At least do more homework.
