Oil price affect all airlines. If we invest in airline business, we should be prepared for fluctuation in oil prices! In the worst case situation of very high oil prices, the fuel surcharge kicks in. So, really the real concern should be on the efficiency and the loading. These are internal factors! The oil price is an external factor. Airlines main competition should be on internal factors!

I was just told Raymond Yap just make a hold call for SIA! Target price remain the same! If there is anything i am concern with AirAsia is jet fuel price! SIA will face the same problem like AirAsia if not worst. Is Raymond having an agenda?

Raymond Yap is the CIMB analyst that wrote report on AirAsia!

About two and half months ago, CIMB's Raymond Yap call for a sell on AirAsia and set target price from 3.12 to 2.12! His call was wrong then and now he continue his call to sell with target price of 1.82!

He must be a jerked analyst!

At 1.82, AirAsia is now worth only RM6.0 billion! In the last 10 years, AirAsia has paid out RM4.3 billion in cash!

1.82 is about the price Tony and partner bought additional 20% shareholding in 2016. Tony and partner must be stupid to buy at this price!

AirAsia Q4 result is going to be out within 2 weeks! If i were Raymond Yap, i will wait until then to make a call.

With the ringgit strengthening, jet fuel purchased should be better off. Raymond cannot even see such obvious?

All the other research houses must be stupid, only Raymond Yap of CIMB is valueing AirAsia correctly!

If you have invested in AirAsia since 2009, 10 years ago, you would have gotten about 17% annual compounding rate! This is including the RM1.19 in total dividends paid.

If you have invested in sufficient ammount, the last 10 year at 17% returns should be enough to cover your living expenses and also provide you with some capital growth!

Anything more than 10% at compounding rate is worth considering, my view!

The key to investing in GDB is to be able to understand its growth strategy and how well GDB can implement it! It was spelled out in the IPO documents! In my understanding, it is reasonable but need to monitor how GDB can execute it! This can only come about by talking to the CEO of GDB! Investing in GDB is a long shot! At least on paper it has the potential! It is still requires more homework to follow up this year especially during the AGM!

My main focus on coming Jun AGM is to understand more on the new tenders!
