 DRB has announced the acquisition of 200 acres land for RM130.68m (RM15psf) and 100% equity stake in Northern Gateway Infrastructure SB (NSGISB) for RM20m.
 In line with DRB’s long term growth, part of the land will be developed into an Integrated Logistic Hub (ILH) next to Integrated Immigration Custom, Quarantine and Security Complex at Bukit Kayu Hitam, the border between Malaysia and Thailand.
 The remaining land will be developed into a tourist hub to tap into the growing cross-border traffic between Malaysia and Thailand.
 Maintained BUY on DRB with unchanged Target Price of RM2.75 based on 20% discounts to SOP.

Given the lack of details on the issue of asset transfer between the two governments, the near-term outlook for Puncak has turned less attractive. New information regarding the pr ogress of Puncak's sale and purchase agreement (SPA) suggests potential delays in securing the RM1.6bn cash offer from the state. Puncak remains keen to sell its water assets and may announce an extension to the deal but the outlook from here on hinges on the state and federal governments' move. If this is resolved within the next 2-3 months, Puncak's water deal and the bumper RM1/share (37% yield) special dividend could still be realised within this year (towards end-2015). We anticipate a likely overhang on the share price and cut our target price as we raise our SOP discount from 20% to 40% due to the emergence of delay and political risks.

The Selangor state government is unlikely to grant the federal government a third extension to the master agreement signed on 12 Sep last year to restructure the state’s water supply industry.

The conflict between the federal and state governments is centred on a dispute which materialised after the federal government claimed the Semenyih and Bukit Nanas reservoirs, together with all the water pipelines in Selangor, are under Putrajaya’s management and ownership, while the Selangor ruling-party, Pakatan, said the assets belong to the Selangor government.
