it was all about the fear factors or pessimistic over 30 Nov's opec outcome that set in to push share price (not only knm but all oil counters) south on top of unfavorable qtr results. there are more doubts over production cut at the moment! I would rather go "wait and see what's next attitude's" to further average down my collection while keeping knm fundamental in the loop. what if opec turns "deal/no deal", what is the next support level gaping up/down? good luck!

0616 GMT (Dow Jones) CIMB resumes coverage of UMW Oil & Gas (5243.KU) and upgrades the stock to a hold rating from reduce, saying the firm stands a good chance of winning contracts from national oil company Petronas. The broker also increases the target price for the oil and gas services provider to 0.99 ringgit from MYR0.38 ringgit previously. "Our sources indicate that Petronas is planning to award at least eight drilling contracts in 2017," said CIMB. UMW Oil & Gas is the largest domestic owner of jack-up rigs. The stock is down 1.12% to MYR0.88 versus the local benchmark stock index's 0.15% drop. (celine.fernandez@wsj.com)
