Not wierd I think. It is showing symptom of strength. I held this stock for 4 years. Usually drop further after dividend but this time I think the lowest it went was 1.69. Think this stock will exceed rm2 closer to the upcoming qtr results.

KUALA LUMPUR: FGV Holdings Bhd has produced a total of 1.06 million tonnes of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) from its 23 regions for the first quarter of this year, 6.6 per cent more than 990,845 tonnes, a year ago.

The Group’s 68 mills processed 3.67 million tonnes of FFB, 8.3 per cent more than 3.39 million tonnes processed in 2018.

Oil extraction rate (OER) for the three months in review improved to 20.76 per cent from 19.75 per cent.

FGV produced a total of 761,832 tonnes of crude palm oil in the first quarter of this year, 13.8 per cent more than 669,534 tonnes, previously.

"FGV has exceeded internal targets and is on track to achieve its 2019 key performance indicators," FGV’s group chief executive officer Dato’ Haris Fadzilah Hassan said, in a statement today.

For the period in review, the group’s key operational performance indicators showed improvement, beating internal targets that were benchmarked against the industry, while taking into account site yield potential and the time required to rehabilitate its estates.

The better operational results can be attributed to several changes that have been made to improve performance, including plantation management and crop evacuation methods.

“As we move into the next phase of our Transformation Plan, we expect FGV’s operational performance to regularise further,” Haris Fadzilah said.

He added that all the Group’s replanting efforts were on track and 17,250ha of old estates would be replanted in this financial year.

Is it as payment for the new acquisitions? So the sellers now hold a lot of shares... In their interest to increase the price further

This is a real joke. RM14 mil to buy these businesses, how is it going to contribute to the bottom line? I doubt these businesses can even contribute RM1 million per quarter to the bottom line. This is so insignificant to the entire group.

KUALA LUMPUR (April 2): Malaysian palm oil futures rose 1.5% on Tuesday, tracking gains in related edible oils and on prospects of lower stockpiles due to better exports.

The benchmark palm oil contract for June delivery on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange was up 1.5% at RM2,144 (US$525.23) a tonne at the midday break, its highest in a week.

The contract also posted its sharpest intraday gain in two weeks and was headed for a second straight session of gains.

"Palm took cues from overnight gains in soybean oil futures," said a Kuala Lumpur-based futures trader, adding that March export data from cargo surveyors also supported the market.

"Exports are good, it is possible that end-stocks will reduce."

Cargo surveyors Intertek Testing Services and AmSpec Agri Malaysia said on Monday Malaysia's palm oil exports in March rose around 22% from the previous month.

Another cargo surveyor, Societe Generale de Surveillance, reported a monthly rise of 28.1%.

Strong gains in exports could help reduce stockpiles in Malaysia, which rose to their highest in nearly two decades in December. Stockpiles had risen unexpectedly in February, by 1.3% to 3.05 million tonnes.

Official March data from the Malaysian Palm Oil Board is scheduled for release on April 10.

In other related oils, the Chicago May soybean oil contract gained 0.7% on Monday on optimism about a trade deal with China after the US Agriculture Department said private exporters reported the sale of 828,000 tonnes of soybeans to China. It was up 0.3% on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the May soyoil contract on the Dalian Commodity Exchange edged up 0.3%, and the Dalian May palm oil contract rose 1%.

Palm oil prices are affected by movements in soyoil, as they compete for a share in the global vegetable oil market.

KUALA LUMPUR (April 1): Malaysian palm oil futures rose on Monday as cargo surveyor data showed stronger March exports, although gains were capped by concerns about higher production.

The benchmark palm oil contract for June delivery on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange closed 0.3% higher at 2,113 ringgit a tonne (US$518.02), having earlier gained as much as 0.7% to reverse part of the previous two sessions' 1.4% loss.

"The export numbers are encouraging, but the market has already priced (that) in," said Anilkumar Bagani, research head of Sunvin Group, a Mumbai-based vegetable oil broker, referring to the cargo surveyor data.

Intertek Testing Services said Malaysia's palm oil shipments in March rose 22.4% from a month earlier, while AmSpec Agri Malaysia said exports increased 22.9% last month.

Malaysia saw higher demand from the Middle East, Africa and China, according to ITS data.

Another cargo surveyor Societe Generale de Surveillance reported on Monday evening a 28.1% gain over the same period.

Capping palm's gains was a forecast that Malaysian palm oil production had risen in March, in line with a seasonal trend, after declining for the previous four months.

In other related oils, the Chicago May soybean oil contract rose by 0.5%, while the May soyoil contract on the Dalian Commodity Exchange slipped 0.1%.

The Dalian May palm oil contract rose 0.3%.

Palm oil prices are affected by movements in soyoil, as they compete for a share in the global vegetable oil market.

PCCS Group Bhd forms bullish "Flag" chart pattern
Mar 29, 2019

This bullish signal indicates that the stock price may rise from the close of 0.445 to the range of 0.530 - 0.550. The pattern formed over 12 days which is roughly the period of time in which the target price range may be achieved, according to standard principles of technical analysis.

Tells Me: The price seems to be resuming a sharp rally after taking a brief pause. A bullish Flag pattern occurs during a dynamic market rally, representing a brief pause as the market "catches its breath" before running off again in the same direction. The pattern consists of two parallel trend lines, often sloping downward against the prevailing uptrend, and is confirmed when the price breaks through the upper boundary to resume the rise.

V.S Industry Bhd forms bullish "Symmetrical Continuation Triangle" chart pattern
Mar 28, 2019

This bullish signal indicates that the stock price may rise from the close of 1.070 to the range of 1.170 - 1.190. The pattern formed over 16 days which is roughly the period of time in which the target price range may be achieved, according to standard principles of technical analysis.

Tells Me: The price has broken upward out of a consolidation period, suggesting a continuation of the prior uptrend. A Symmetrical Continuation Triangle (Bullish) shows two converging trendlines as prices reach lower highs and higher lows. Volume diminishes as the price swings back and forth between an increasingly narrow range reflecting uncertainty in the market direction. Then well before the triangle reaches its apex, the price breaks out above the upper trendline with a noticeable increase in volume, confirming the pattern as a continuation of the prior uptrend.
