（吉隆坡4日訊）市場盛傳，巴拉卡（BARAKAH,7251,主板貿服組）為強化石油與天然氣上游領域地位，已將目光轉向開發邊際油田。



消息人士向財經週刊《The Edge》透露，巴拉卡正對本地邊際油田計劃展開研究，以組成財團進行開發工作。




“這是巴拉卡強化其在勘查和生產環節地位的部份策略，集團傾向成熟的油田。”

不過，在截稿前，巴拉卡發言人並未對此作出回應。

領域人士認為，巴拉卡在做出任何投資決策前，需率先強化其資產負債表和資產風險組合。

更重要的是，一旦進軍邊際油田計劃成真，巴拉卡可能需要注入新鮮資金。據悉，目前包括聯土局投資機構（FIC）在內的數位投資方已與巴拉卡接觸，放眼取得公司顯著股權。

若聯土局投資機構（FIC）成功收購後者顯著股權，這將是其進軍油氣業的首步。

但消息人士稱，巴拉卡現對引進策略性股東一事仍未有定奪，主要是大股東認為其市價遭到低估。

巴拉卡股價近期持續下行，從2月的1令吉87仙高位回落25.13%至週五閉市的1令吉40仙。（星洲日報／財經‧The Edge專版）
