SBB is pursued by the Co when she feels the company is undervalued in relation to its peers and general market performance, But why so ? Stocks in demand normally don't need to do SBB bcoz they are already enjoying a premium primarily due to investors demand. Having said that I still dislike SSB for reasons stated earlier on !
