Result proves that consumers are still buying legal cigarettes despite the grim situation. If Covid situation is under control and remain low with no lockdowns and all cigarette sales channels are back full swing, BAT will rise. Patience is needed and hope that Covid in Malaysia is kept at a minimum level.

Maybe it's because Supermax has become the envy of so many people due to it's phenomenal performance so it's become a magnet for haters to come and bash it.

Up 7% versus last quarter is bad result? Q2 was supposed to be the worst period of lockdown. I think BAT did alright considering the situation. Could have been worse.

Although I am more optimistic for the future, we have to understand it's still Covid time so don't expect the tobacco and beer industry to rebound so fast. Need patience. Hope there won't be anymore lockdowns in the near future. Lockdown is the killer for consumer goods sector.

Well, global covid cases every day averaging 200+ K cases. Not high enough to scare the world? In Q2 the average was only about 100K per day I believe. 200K per day now is already double and likely to increase more in coming months. I think these numbers are already big enough to justify gloves are needed more than ever..

24 July QR would be great if it's true. Back to KYY, it's obvious he tried to trigger a big sell off so he and his comrade OTB can buy back cheap. He even gave a cunning "hint" that he will buy back after correction. If Supermax got no hope anymore you think he will buy back? He wants to buy back to maximize his profits and reap the rewards kau kau.

Supermax not done yet and so are the rest of Big 4. Look at Harta. Harta and Supermax will challenge Topglove I am sure of that.
