I just do a quick check on the Bursa Malaysia website and notice that less than 10% of the companies recorded growth for this quarter this year vs same quarter last year. I think the operating environment are getting very tough in Malaysia. KFIMA is quite lucky since the companies are well diversified. The management has proved that they have managed the company quite well in view of the good and consistent results achieved for the last 5 years.
If they are more proactive in capital management and more willing to promote the company to analyst (only one stock broking firm covers the company so far), the share price will not be hovering at such low level now.

NZ, thanks for the news. Bravo for the management.
It is indeed good news to KFIMA since the company still can record 15% increase in profit after tax this quarter vs same period last year. Not many companies have recorded such impressive q vs q increase in the tough operating environment especially the plantation business
EPS of 29.92sen will translate at p/e 6 at current price of RM1.83.
Cash per share at the high side of RM1.00 per share that means we are paying 0.81 for the company.

Wow NZ, that means KFIMA is dirt cheap. If the NTA keeps increasing while sitting at huge cash pile with such low p/e, I will not miss this mega sales now.
One can see how Fima Corp's NTA has increased substantially for the past few years below.

(1)trading at p/e 6
(2) trading at huge discount below NTA 2.20 and what's more
(3) they will pay at least 10 sen per share(tax exempt dividend) that translate to 5.4% yield for this year as mentioned in the AGM.
(4) RM500 million net cash or RM1.10 cash per share.
May be Najib can shed some light on the coming result....

Tony, I have never changed my tune. I just do not encourage punters to buy this stock because this is a very boring stock. But for long term investors, at this price is pretty cheap for me. I can hold stock for a very long time. I hold Digi since listing and until now I still have not sold one since listing. My friend always ask me to take profit. But I told them do you know that because with my patience I can buy a bungalow in Damansara area.
Another stock is Zhulian, another come stock if we want to use Tony Lim language. Hovering around 1.80-2.00 for very very very long time and now standing solid at 2.40. Well, for me if a stock profit keeps increasing, I do not mind to hold for long term even the share price never move. Why? because one day it will surely reflected in the share price.

I really pity the management. From the conversation, I have high regards of their professionalism and quite well versed with the company's business now like other gaji buta board of directors.
For what I see, punters especially for them want a quick profit should avoid this stock at all cost. Why? the management dun care about the share price. They have not even come out with one corporate excercise for the past 7 years while most of the companies have been busy with private placement, bonus and right issues riding on the bull run.

(3) needless to say the merger. The management has also acknowledged that the merger will definitely unleash the fair value of the company which is definetly undervalued.
have received door gift consist of 8 cans of tuna fish, pineapple syrup and also the sardine fish.

You are welcome Pradeep and Kl foong. My personal opinion is that Kfima' smanagement are very conservative and they really think twice before answering any questions from the floor. They will not simply promise if they cannot deliver.. The floor are actually very satisfied with the management performance especially one Indian old man praised the management for consistent good profit for the past 5 years and supported warmly by the floor. From what i see Kfima and Fima corp has very strong 3 catalyst:
(1) good dividend payment this year with 10 sen per share is already quite sure unless the managemnt

Have attended both AGM for both Fima corp and Kumpulan Fima and here are the main take:-
(1) MD Rosalan has confirmed that they have received the proposed merger between Fima corp and Kumpulan Fima due to deeply undervalued for both stock. The final decision will be up to the discretion of management
(2) for the profit guidance for this year, even the CPO price has dropped to RM2,658 now as the cost per tonne for Palm oil production for thr company's plantation is only Rm1,4000 , Roslan is confident that the company can maintain decent profit which is about same as last year.
(3) the company can utilize the tax credit about 10 sen per share to be declared as dividend to shareholders. Bear in mind that the amount will be forfeited is the company does not utilize the amount by next year.
(4) since this is 40 year anniversary of the company one shareholder has asked about the possibility of declaring special dividend and the management will look into it.

If EPS drops to 7 sen from 7.8 sen due to the plantation sector which contributes about 30% profit only, annualise it 28 sen for whole year, current price 2.10 translates to P/E 7.5 and net cash per cash share 1.00,and if you still say the stock is expensive then let it be.
You can buy Johor Tin very good company p/E 8.8, net debt 15 million and compare it with Kfima.

The Bank of Japan eased monetary policy on Wednesday by boosting asset purchases, as slowing global demand and heightening tensions with China hurt chances of a near-term recovery in the export-reliant economy.
The central bank expanded its asset buying and loan program, currently its key monetary easing tool, by 10 trillion yen ($127 billion) to 80 trillion yen, with the increase to be for purchases of government bonds and treasury discount bills.

Very good write up from Cold Eye in Nanyang
http://www.nanyang.com.my/node/463316?tid=808

Gark & NZ, I would be very worried if the management too concerned with the share price until they loss the business direction.
Let them concentrate to run the business as it is. We want to invest in a company where is run by a honest management instead of a bunch of idiots fetching high fat salary and bonus but do nothing to create values for shareholders. Malaysia companies are famous for board tusseling and the end of the day it is the minority who suffers.
