On that note, a survey conducted by Ernst & Young indicate Malaysian companies being significantly more confident about prospects in the local market now than they were at the beginning of the year, with 42% of respondents expecting to seek acquisition opportunities in order to improve profitability and have access to new markets. We anticipate a pick-up in mergers, take-overs and in other instances, privatizations in the coming year, potentially providing a lift and rerating catalyst to significantly undervalued companies in the local bourse.
