It would't surprise me if KLCI is in the green tomorrow. Our market is known to buck the global trend some times

Aj...what will ur syndicate collect next week then?

Looks like from the previous trend, KLCI eventually rebounded. Good time to enter call warrants

The bersih rally is going on peacefully and in a civil manner so far. Not going to generate as much bad press as the ones before. Will the market react negatively as expected by many?

Bear in mind the rally this time is going to start on 29/8 to 30/8 midnight, a mini Occupy Central style demo. Could get ugly

How about SKPETRO-C1 currently at RM0.005, no downside only upside
2014-12-18 09:27 | Report Abuse
Is it a good time to take a punt on SKPETRO-C1?
2014-12-03 16:35 | Report Abuse
nicky I think we have to look at this in perspective. With KLCI dropping 20 points, many counters being demolished in the process, 0.005 drop in AAX price is not too bad. It shows support is there considering the transaction volume today.

This stock being dragged down by overall poor sentiment surrounding KLCI

Like what Tony said, they will hedge it at this current low price so even if there is a sharp spike in oil price tomorrow (which is of course unlikely), it wouldn't affect AA. Btw, since you seems to be an expert in oil price and said oil price wont drop for long, when do we expect it to go up again? 1 month? 2 months time? By how much USD 1, USD 2? Sorry naive investor here.
2014-12-01 10:09 | Report Abuse
ufoisreal I didn't say it will keep on going lower...but very likely will remain at this level for the foreseeable future as there are no catalysts to make it higher. Well that is my opinion, how naive for you to assume it will go higher without giving any justifications?

2014-12-01 09:50 | Report Abuse
ufoisreal Oil will remain at this current price or lower until at least the next meeting by OPEC (June next year). Don't see any trigger that will cause it to increase in the near term.

I surely hope so, aviation stocks are back on the radar of investors with the collapse in oil price, traditionally best quarter, and sound bites from Tony to whip up more excitement.
2014-11-28 16:51 | Report Abuse
Will it close above RM2.60 today?
2014-11-28 14:27 | Report Abuse
Yup, plenty of upside for this stock. Oil price have been sliding for quite some time already yet this positive development has not been reflected in AA's stock price until today due to other negative news surrounding the aviation industry.

From Tony's Twitter: Tell me why you love airasia x and I will give one free ticket to our inaugral flight from kl to london and back . one from asia one from Europe .

Smart move by Tony by locking in oil prices for the foreseeable future. This will be huge for AA.

Sources said both AirAsia and AirAsia X’s budgets are precipitated on an oil price of US$130 (RM437) per barrel. However, at current oil price of below US$75 (RM252) for Brent, jet fuel will cost only US$90 (RM302).
It is understood that both AirAsia and AirAsia X are signing in the next few days to buy half their requirement at current levels, thus shaving US$20-25 off their budgeted costs.
“For every dollar less that we pay, it is an additional US$12 million (RM40 million) which goes straight to the bottomline.
