Jackfruit this is a positive indication that demand is able to absorb the selling pressure and finally broke thru the stubborn resistance at 3.25. I expect this to continue its upward momentum. As you say, this is still undervalue

Yes resistance broken. Lets hope Mr KYY does not hinder this from shooting up anymore

if we get a solid close today, we can expect the price to continue the uptrend potentially challenging the high from last month

Malaysia' furniture exports are expected to grow by 8% exceeding RM10bn this year, a stronger pace compared with 4.1% to RM9.5bn last year, thanks to the recent ban on rubberwood exports, according to Malaysian Furniture Council president Chua Chun Chai.

HearBreakKid: I see where you are coming from. As you have noted, Hibiscus has cash and zero debt. They are solid in terms of financial standing. The acquisition for NS will be paid in stages: USD2.5m (upon signing of SPA), 12.5m (upon completion date), USD 5m (after 12 months), remaining USD 5m (after 24 months). Now taking into account the fact that all revenue from NS will be backdated starting from Jan 2017, this could easily be sufficient to finance the acquisition.
2017-05-30 10:41 | Report Abuse
HeartBreakKid: buying back shares is definitely out of the picture at this juncture as they need the cash for acquisition and further expansion. Do note that Hibiscus can profit with oil resting at USD50, so potential upside from here with any increase in oil price. North Sabah EOR project has been canceled for good, not viable under the current situation. Petronas as the partner understands this as well and has agreed to not pursue this further (although the PSC still carries the EOR namesake). At present, cost of oil per barrel for NS is <USD20, so there is definitely value to those who can hold mid to long term IMO
2017-05-30 10:13 | Report Abuse
HeartBreakKid: what makes you think the company will not perform well? FYI, the north sabah deal includes the rollover of staff from Shell so you can be assured that they will not only get additional 10k barrels of oil but also a strong team inherited from an established oil and gas player

Shell is desperate to dispose off the asset hence will do everything to meet the conditions set by Petronas. Shell has a global divestment target they need to meet to raise sufficient cash following their merger with BG

this counter easily worth >0.5 with the North Sabah deal. Revenues from North Sabah will be backdated from Jan 2017 onwards.
