Since I bought the shares of this counter on 30/05/2014, it had been on the down trend all the time n I guess I'll have to average down if it drops further.......................

As I had said earlier that it was very easy for the big players/investors/shareholders like the EPF, the Aberdeen Asset Management Groups n the Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group to play down or up the counter anytime they want so this counter is not for short term trading but good for long term investment. General market easier today, affect Aeon!!!

This counter is mainly controlled by few major investors/shareholders n if they let go then the counter will definitely drop n they can also easily push up the price if they want to but as a whole it is a stable counter. Trade at own risk.

InvestorLau86, there is no different whether to buy before or after ex.............sometimes v can get even cheaper after ex............it all depends on sentiments n market force.

ImCK, I'm ok in this counter as I've made 2 rounds of profit already earlier when trading short term but now prefered long term to earn more.

True Alas Long, the drop in profit was merely due to the set up expenses of overseas projects n they will harvest the fruits when all the projects r fully completed ..............just imagine what a BIG SUM!!!

Thanks goodness Iris is still making profit in spite of all the expenses incurred in expanding their businesses overseas with new projects n will be benefited when all their projects r fully completed. Cobra07, it's up to u to determine the price after ex-all whether it's cheap or not................let say if u bought 1,000 shares at rm15.00 n after ex-all ur 1,000 shares will become 4,000 shares i.e rm3.75 per share. Do u think whether the price is cheap or not for Aeon at rm3.75 per share.........this is up to u but to me I think the price is ok. Trade at own risk.

No Firebird2, one counter of related company is more than enough...............can't afford to hold too many expensive stocks now as already fully used 90% of my fund in about 15 counters. Will slowly sell some of the rojak counters n change to better counters then don't have to worry so much.

Thanks Firebirds n hope it'll advance on Monday then don't have to buy more. It's always very tempting to accumulate more whenever it drops more than 20 sen at a time.

Bought at 14.94 n will wait till Monday to see how the market performs n then only decide whether to buy more.........

Yes beyondream, u r correct. The dividend of 1.5 sen is about 10 sen if considered before the split n bonus which is much better than last time. If they can give us dividend of 1.5 sen twice a year is considered very good already.

Pputeh, since u had experienced the trend regarding counters after ex-bonus n/or shares split then u can follow ur thoughts. I think not all counters will follow that way n I also feel the same like Firebird2 that whether Aeon will be like that n even if u wait to see the trend first before u buy n even if Aeon is on the uptrend u should be happy as u r not experiencing a down trend............buy high n sell higher n still u will be making profit. This is my opinion only. Trade at own risk.

Firebird2, I only noticed that the final 10 minutes there were 9,900 shares done at 15.02 n another lot was left...........looks normal to me.

Lay Eng Teoh, the price will be adjusted accordingly basing on the closing price of the last day before ex-bonus n shares split........let say for 1,000 shares bought at rm15.00 then after the bonus n split the total number of shares will become 4,000 shares at rm15.00 n therefore 1 share will be rm3.75 but up or down again will depend on the market force on that day.
