another set of steady results. strong fundamentals, strong cash position and no borrowings. dividend yields consistent y-o-y. Dividend company for sure. What's there not to like about this company? If you want steady fixed income and good sleep at night, this is the counter for you. If you want action, look elsewhere.

I am not sure the size of the exposure SB has on qatar but I dont think it will severely affect the company as the diplomatic cut is within the Gulf region and not with malaysia specifically. This is normal of a knee-jerk reaction as markets react cautiously taking a wait and see approach as things develop over the next couple of weeks. I doubt ongoing contracts will be terminated between qatari goverment and SB in the near future unless msia is pressured by the other opposing gulf states. If anything, it is an opportunity to buy, if you think otherwise....just wait and see approach.

Stellar performance but disappointing dividends. Divi only grew by 3sens/ 7% to 45sens for the year 2017.

Ex-div tomorrow, 5 May. Would be interesting to see price trending after that.

Impressive results as expected. 29sen dividend is spectacular, making the full year dividend of 42sen, compared to 29sen (2015), that is a 45% increase in dividends. Yields are impressive as well, at 6.1% at the close of yesterday price of 6.84. Overall this counter is the one to keep, expect bullish prices in the months to come.

so much selling today after the disappointing result. It is a good company with strong fundamentals nonetheless.

i'm keen to know what plans top management has for the Cash the company is sitting on at the moment. Have a look at their balance sheet last quarter. Frankly speaking the company does not need any borrowings/ buyout activities.

@tradeview Split annual dividend is good for our cashflow, no doubt.

Should declare a special dividend with the cash pile it's sitting on. Expansion is limited if not fully optimised at the moment. If a special dividend is declared this counter will rocket north of RM7. I'm a firm believer of rewarding your shareholders.
