WHY WILL RCECAP CONTINUE TO PERFORM?
Factor 5 - Implementation of CCRIS and Loan Quality
The implementation of CCRIS will reduce loan impairments and improve on loan quality, thus increasing earnings. The CEO, Mr Loh Kam Chuen, in a press interview after AGM 2016, admitted that while loan impairments are inevitable in any financial lending business, the ones in RCECAP are within manageable limits.

Factor 4 - Establishment of Sukuk Programme ADA
ADA, a trust-owned special purpose bankruptcy remote vehicle, successfully launched its first issuance of RM155.5 million on 21 June 2016, making this the Group’s fourth venture into the debt capital markets. The Sukuk Programme is expected to increase the capital funds of RCEM for future business growth, thus contributing positively to the earnings of the Group in future years.

WHY WILL RCECAP CONTINUE TO PERFORM?
Factor 2 - Malaysian Banks Earnings
Malaysian lenders looking ahead to a tough second half of 2016 after reporting an average 10 percent contraction in earnings for the quarter through June. Here's a snapshot of how the big five banks fared.

Do you think is it easy for any individual to borrow from the banks during these challenging times? Who would they turn to?
While paying my car loan through Toyota Capital at Maybank, I grinned when I noticed that the menu had been added with RCE Marketing, a subsidiary of RCE Capital. Some individuals are repaying their loans through RCE Marketing.

No matter what the market conditions are, the macro-economics tell us this is the age of smart devices, digital automation, connectivity and convergent technology. The IOT of things is definitely going to increase the demand for LED testing processes. MMSV, with its core competency in LED, stands to benefit a lot from this IOT thing.
2016-09-05 16:07 | Report Abuse
The IOT euphoria sends loss-making Yen Global share price skyrocketing furiously until Bursa flashed the UMA RED card!
Will the same euphoria spark off MMSV share price to go higher to earn a UMA RED card from Bursa, too? Ha, ha, ha. It remains to be seen.

Edge Financial Daily, 5 Sept 2016 reports that strong LED use in smart devices and automotive lighting segments will boost a better financial year ending Dec 2016 in terms of both revenue and earnings.
MMSV FY2015 net profit came in at RM8.08 million on a revenue of RM31.29 million. It anticipates RM40 million revenue in FY2016.
The advent of IOT - the Internet of Things, which allows everyday objects to have Internet connectivity, is expected to strengthen MMSV growth and earning prospects as more and more applications will be using LED functions. And, MMSV being rightly placed, with its core competency in LED testing since listing in 2006.
Another positive factor is the strength of the greenback as most transactions are done in US dollars, which means gains from foreign currency conversion.
Furthermore, there is a proposal to transfer its listing to the main board soon.

Alfred, people probably lose confidence & cautious sentiment. Lately, too much negative trade data release. Malaysia PMI is about 47. Manufacturing & export growth rate drops. Bank performance - revenue & profit also down for most banks except Public Bank. SEG offering 15 sen capital repayment stays flat @ 1.17, @ one time drops to 1.13. However, good news GUH Director Kenneth H'ung bought 173,900 shares on Aug 30 & Sep 1 @ 0.885 & 0.893.

Yes, no worry, as paperlane2016 says. Malaysia has a very high household debt to GDP ratio at 89.1%. Read this report by STAR.
http://www.thestar.com.my/business/business-news/2016/04/02/household-debt-on-the-rise/
As long as household debt is high, people need loans (money) for many things. Remember that consumer loan financing is RCECAP's strongest fee-based high income-earner. A ready loan base comes from the 1.6 million civil servants in the country.
In the media release on 10 Aug, RCECAP management said, "Despite the challenging business outlook, the positive momentum in the Group’s consumer loan financing segment is expected to continue." You see, the following 2nd, 3rd & 4th Quarters will excel too.

Wondering why no share buyback despite the renewal of authority? Does it mean GUH is cash-rich enough to absorb the decreasing share price? The last announcement of share buyback was 7 March 2016, 10,000 units @ 0.90 with Treasury shares accumulating 14,044,400. Based on Annual Report 2015, total equity firepower is more than RM392 million. Why is the share price allowed to drop just like that without any intervention? Does it mean GUH is confident of the coming QR ending 30 June as a catalytic booster to revive its fortune?

CAPITAL REPAYMENT
1QFY17 EPS improved 4 folds arising from Share Consolidation and Capital Repayment
Higher revenue of RM51.9 million on the back of 15.8% loans growth
110.8% increase in profit before tax (“PBT”), with corresponding 153.6% increase in PAT against
previous quarter
Successful first issuance of RM155.5 million via Al Dzahab Assets Berhad’s (“ADA”) Sukuk
Murabahah Asset-Backed Securitisation Programme of up to RM900.0 million (“Sukuk
Programme”)
KUALA LUMPUR: Following the completion of the exercise to reduce RCE Capital Berhad’s (“the
Group”) issued and paid-up share capital from 1,363,809,945 to 340,952,486 ordinary shares, EPS
improved 4 folds from a pre-consolidated EPS of 1.35 sen to a post-consolidated EPS of 5.40 sen in 1QFY17.
Against the corresponding period, the adjusted EPS climbed 82.4% from 2.96 sen to 5.40 sen driven by improved earnings. Accordingly, net assets per share increased from RM0.45 a year ago to RM1.16.
Meanwhile, total revenue stood at RM51.9 million, up 38.4% as compared to RM37.5 million a year
ago, driven primarily by higher interest income of RM8.2 million against loans growth of 15.8%, as well as a RM6.4 million higher fee-based income arising from improvement in business terms.
Arising thereof, PBT improved from RM11.1 million to RM23.4 million, reflecting a 110.8%, increase
against the previous quarter.
Correspondingly, PAT saw a 153.6% jump in 1QFY17, up RM10.6 million, from RM6.9 million in the
previous quarter to RM17.5 million.
On the corporate front, the Group established a Sukuk Programme via ADA backed by loan receivables originated by RCE Marketing Sdn Bhd (“RCEM”).
Despite the challenging business outlook, the positive momentum in the Group’s consumer loan
financing segment is expected to continue. Nonetheless, the Group remains focused on quality loans with continued vigilance on managing asset quality and ensuring operational efficiency through process simplification initiatives to enhance competitive advantage with the objective of meeting customers’ requirements.

Announcement of dividend probably Aug 18 together with release of Quarterly Report ending 30 June. Chart presently showing sharp descent. If 2Q report is unfavourable, then this Penang lembu is going down into the mud.
A few corporate publicity attempts by the management to highlight the so-called RM120 million unbilled sales don't seem to excite investors sentiment. Give good 2Q report with enticing high dividends, then only the price will soar again.
